Nutty aroma, mild nut flavour with a hint of caramel, smooth and rich. I like it a lot, had a 5L keg from Bacchus and couldn’t stop drinking it.

On tap at Archive Beer Boutique. Rating from early 2014. Didn’t really get the hazelnut but a good brown ale none the less.

Aroma is hazelnut ridden, essence I’m guessing, but some malty notes come off. Appearance is a deep transparent brown with an off-white/cream head. Taste is sweet, hazelnut and chocolate flavours gives a nutella taste undersome subtle coffee overtones, all very watery though. Palate keeps the coffee, particularly at the back of the mouth on top of some very subtle bitter feel throughout. Not bad, but almost a dessert beer, a bit sweet for me, but that’s just me.
