Bottled. A deep red beer with a purple head. The aroma has strong notes of cherries. The flavor is sweet with notes of cherries and almonds, leading to a lightly tart finish.

Bottle from Morrisons, 2009-12-23, Uddingston AR: very strong cherry aroma, a bit perfume, some undefinded flower smell AP: ruby red body, high pinky head F: sour cherry berries, geeting sweeter and sweeter the more consumed, a bit nutty on he pallet. Brewer added suger to this ale - good decision!

Aroma of really sweet cherries and a hint of soapiness. Looks dark red/amber with barely any head. Taste is a mix of barley on the front end, sweet cherry syrup in the middle, and a slightly dry finish. Not a bad kriek, artificial cherriness for sure though. I’d prefer a more natural approach to the cherry mix.

[375ml bottle from Jim - cheers!] Lovely deep red with a moderate pink head. Moderate fizz. Aroma of fresh rather than artificial cherries was a pleasant surprise. Tastes of fresh cherries too, with a little sweet almond. It’s perfectly balanced against hints of sourness and dry woodiness. I’m not normally a fan of cherry beers, but this is pretty good - I can’t believe quite how much nicer it is than the raspberry version.
