detroitsteel (209), Greater London, England May 12, 2008 Deep ruby red body, small pink head. When you drink it there are bags of cherries, a sherbert sweetness, combined with the seasoned oak dryness of a sour ale. I got two hits of fruit: a jammy, sweet flavour and a more tart taste that cuts through. I really liked it; its better than the raspberry version.
KimJohansen (2460), Copenhagen V, Denmark Jul 22, 2008 Clear dark red with large pinkish head. Very sweet aroma with loads of cherries and marzipan notes. Sweet flavor with loads off marzipan and cherries. FatPhil (1965), Espoo, Finland Jul 17, 2008 375ml bottle (Sainsbury’s)
Deep red, small brief head. Sultry cherry aroma, a slight bitter edge. Fairly sweet and pleasant malty body. Decent sweet fruity taste, mostly cherry, but verging on almond in places - seems like real fruit rather than just juice added. Quite gutsy, and I thought it was quite pleasant. cellar (271), Dublin, Ireland Jul 16, 2008 Deep reg with pink head. Strong notes of cherries and marzipan. Very sweet and long sweet almost chemical finish. M0RHI (989), Luxembourg, Luxembourg Jun 8, 2008 Bottle at Aikmans, St Andrews. Deep red ale with a pink thin head Nose is sweet and flat with lots of glace cherries. Mouth actually has some punch to it - there’s the sweet glace cherries to start with, then some disjointed sourness, then the two seem to come together. There’s some dishwater and fizzy sweet and maybe a touch of pink lemonade. It’s alright, but it’s not the best. renffisch (384), london, Greater London, England May 29, 2008 Mes is gonna bitch again :-) but i am a sucker for fake, sugary, aspartame tasting beligum ales. i agree on the apple and soap nose but hey who doesn’t like sour fizzy haribo cherries.... bad taste? definitely, but i like it.
