A typical Flemish beer with a pleasant wine-like taste and a rich past. This dark brown beer, which is matured in oak casks, has a slightly acid aftertaste.

A world of good reds, fruity malt body, sweet notes dominate that leans towards a nice sour acidic finish.

12.7oz bottle. Thanks to Sean Y. Bottled on 2012/02/14. Mostly clear very dark red color. Slight brown Pours with a thin khaki head, that quickly fades to a minimal ring. Loose dots of lace. Lighter body. Smooth, kind of crisp, light carbonation. Light slick finish. Kind of a more mild sour brown overall. light to moderate sweet taste, light to moderate sour. Mild bitterness. Decent wood flavor, some dark fruit, oak, light vinous notes, mild spice, some mild musty funk and little caramel malt. It’s all not bad at all, just tastes, mild, almost watered down from your typical sour brown. Easy-drinking and refreshing, though. I start to enjoy it more halfway through, when my notes are done and I’m just sipping it not thinking about it.

Bottle shared by DrSilverworm. Pours a clear amber brown color with very little head. The aroma and flavor have tart berries, tart black cherry, vinegar, some oak, the finish gets really soft. If this carried the opening character throug the finish it would be much better. Opens good, finishes meh.

Bottle. Aroma fruity, berries, red berries. Bretty bubblegum. Deep brown colour. Taste has light diacetyl, almost moderate sourness. Somewhat plain and watery in the finish, lacks length and depth. Otherwise good and sessionable.
