COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A typical Flemish beer with a pleasant wine-like taste and a rich past. This dark brown beer, which is matured in oak casks, has a slightly acid aftertaste.

The beer is a rusty brown hue. Initially, there is a small head but this quickly fades to nil, giving a still appearance. The aroma brings sweet and sour cherry, musty basement, vinegar. Tart fruit, cranberry, raisins. Perhaps more sweet than sour. Apple juice and maraschino cherries. Low carbonation with a sugary finish. This was just ok.

pours dark reddish brown, with no head. no yeast in the bottle either. A bit light flavored and mouth feel compared to other sour browns I have had. Fruity and very drinkable. Tasted at 59F.

Pours a reddish brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of wine, sour apple and cherry. Flavour is tart. An enjoyable Sour as it is, but I would have loved more complexity and barnyard/cellar notes.

375 ml champagne bottle, wrapped in paper, normal crown cap. Poured into a snifter, ABV 4.5% Deep red brown colour on the body with ruby red shades when hold against the light. One finger of light brown head with average retention, leaving bubbles on the surface and light lacing around the glass. Aroma is sour grapes, maybe some caramel, a little bit of chocolate malts on the backround as it warms up. Taste is quite sour, mostly vinegar like but there are some sour milk notes in it as well. Sour white and red grapes. Medium thin body, okay carbonation. Very tart on the palate. Overall I enjoyed this when I started slowly sipping it instead of quickly driniking it, needs its time.

Ruby pour with fizzy soda-like head. Aroma of cherry, dates, and sour yeastiness. Flavor is more of the same, sour quality is very mild.

Clear deep amber with a short fizzy head. Faint papery cider aroma. Soft sour brown flavor. Quite mild sourness but nice body and balance. An easy Flemish ale to get along with.

31-DEC-2013, bottle @Morten. Clear Brown with low, almost no tan head. Vinous aroma with cherry, oak. Taste the same with Brown sugar and tartness. Below average body and carbonation with long tart finish. Nice.
