A typical Flemish beer with a pleasant wine-like taste and a rich past. This dark brown beer, which is matured in oak casks, has a slightly acid aftertaste.

375ml Bottle. The pour was a murky medium chestnut brown with an average (1-2 finger) light brown creamy head that receded at a steady pace, down to a light scattered film and medium collar with excellent full sheeting of lacing. The aroma was of a toasted sweet grain malt and a musty Belgian yeast with notes of candi sugar, dark fruit (plums and cherries), a hint of red wine and a light oak cask presence. The taste was sweetly tart and rather yeasty with a large dose of dark fruit (plums I believe) and a hint of candi sugar that lasted throughout, with the finish having a mild wine presence, a touch of sour berries and a light woody taste towards the end. The flavor lasted an average time after the swallow, with a bold fruity tartness left lying on the taste buds. Mouthfeel was a shade or two below medium in body and lightly dry in texture with a strong fizzy carbonation. Overall this was a nice fruity brew that that possessed a somewhat bold tartness along with a mild sweet candi flavor, which worked very well together to make sure that no one characteristic overpowered the other... www.facebook.com/KAJIIsBeerReviews

Light tart cherry aroma. Pours dark maroon with some head and lacing. Light acidic, sour finish. Good balance. Well done, and good without being next level. Tap at Max’s.

Reddish Brown in color, thin head. Super sour flavor and finish. This was full of oak flavors from barrel aging a very tasty sour.

Draft. This is a stylistic classic that goes perfectly with fruit after dinner. I really enjoy this at the end of a rich meal.

iNce bottle wrapped in paper with the information. -37,5cl bottle. Appearance:Clear brown with a very small off-white head. Aroma:caramel, meets light balsamico vinegar. Taste: Quite sweet start, but then tartness comes in. Fruity taste of (cheries, apples, raspberry) and light vinegar and metalic notes. A bit fizzy carbonated, but it works ok, thin body.

Hazy reddish-tan head, deep ruby colour. Sugar and raspberry aroma. Quite sweet to the taste, with some sourness in the aftertaste, some woody flavours. Thin, soda-like consistency. Certainly can’t recommend it as anything but a desert or "summer" beer, but it does what it does alright.
