Back Bay’s False Cape Ale is a full bodied red ale. With a dark copper color and well rounded malt base; a bit sweet, with a lightly hopped tea-like flavor, and an even, dextrinous body. False Cape Ale is easy to please. Look for well-rounded and balanced flavors and a pleasant, toasted malt character. A drying finish comes from Cascade dry-hopping.

It seems like a cross between a fat tire ale and a Palmento from charleston south carolina. It is a great brew to enjoy at happy hour and also goes well with the meal I had at Watermans. I ate a new York strip and had two false cape alse to go along with it. It complented the meal nicely. I would not recomend with a fish.
