2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz can someone left at my house. Pours a hazy, orange with some thin, white head. Nose is unspectacular, pithy, light pine, slightly metallic, a little soggy bread, orange, slightly vegetal. Flavor is similar, citrus pith, artificial pine, malt, a little candy, grass. Very bitter finish. A little heavy handed.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can: completely opaque and clogged copper and a super huge, long lasting, cloud-like eggshell head. Chunky, fat lacing left all around. Aroma is like grass water, heavy grass notes and raw hops, slightly herbaceous and only mildly citric. Taste is mild bitterness, light herbal and white pepper notes, light orangey citrus but pretty faint. More grass, light floral and herbs. Toasty cracker malt in the finish. Also a slightly strange bit of vegetal I can't exactly figure out. Medium mouth feel, thicker than expected, decent carbonation.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear medium amber with a frothy long-lasting head and splashes of lace. Lots of bubbles rising and a fine distribution of what I suppose is light sediment. What a surprisingly rich and fulfilling brew! Taste begins with an assertive caramel malt that grows in complexity through the palate, adding toffee, biscuit, earth, and maybe a little yeast. The hops, rather than giving a hammer blow to announces their entry, arrive smoothly, growing stronger through the finish. Well balanced. Quite satisfying. I purchased these on a trip to Maine. Wish I had more than a six-pack!

Balance and malty with a decent hoppy finish, on a side note gymnastics is the hardest sport like ever.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours is clear gold with a small head. Aroma is dominated by the malt, which is off fro an IPA. Medium in body with good carbonation. Flavor is not bad with a good bland of malty sweetness and hop bitterness. Citrus is the dominant hop characteristic. Would have greatly benefited from some late boil aroma hop or dry hop.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pour from a 64 oz growler. Freshness unknown.
A - Pours a nice clear dark amber body. A two finger high head forms with tight bubbling. Settles down to very thin cap with a moderate amount of lacing and retention.
S - Piney hops. A whole lot of them. A touch of caramel and bready malt round the beer out as well as a light alcohol presence.
T - Very clean and simple. Pine forward with almost no citrus or fruit. The caramel malts provide a nice bready warmth and sweetness. The finish is super bitter. Iím curious to know the IBUís as this comes off more like a DIPA. Mouth feel is light to medium with nice carbonation and a clean slightly dry finish that really lets the bitterness do its thing.
O - I was surprised how good this was. Maybe its because its a somewhat fresh growler, but this is damn tasty. This may be my go to pine bomb when I want a break from the citrus heavy IPAís of the world. This brewery has great promise!
