UPDATED: JAN 21, 2014 Bottle. Pale golden with small white head. Aroma of Belgian spices. Light body with spice and light straw notes and a bitter hop finish.--Tap. Get more fruit on the aroma and more tartness than the first time. Not bad.

Bottle thanks to a colleague who brought this back from a holiday. Hazy gold lasting thin white head. It’s a pleasant pale ale with some citrus hops and some bitterness. It’s clean, perfectly fine and some peach and orange flavours. Very drinkable and a rather nice beer. Fresh tasting.

11/18/14. 12oz can. Almost clear orange pour, small frothy khaki head, very minimal lacing - looks fine, I guess. Not sure who decided this was an "amber ale" unless the brew has changed since it’s creation. Musty, earthy, floral aroma, old hops, doughy pale malts. Oh boy. The flavor mirrors this almost too closely... ugh. Perfumey, floral, earthy, doughy, chalky, dusty. Really wish I had bought a single.

Tasted on 11/17/14 from a 12oz can purchased at Frugal MacDoogal. Pours hazy somewhat muted orange with an average white head that leaves average, bubbly lace. The nose is bread malt forward with a bit of earth, but is really all about caramelized orange peel. The flavor is caramelized orange peel and orange blossom honey up front, with a light, pleasant hit of bitterness, and plenty of the same bread malt from the nose. The body is light with a lightly sticky texture, average carbonation, and a medium lightly bitter orange peel, but primarily bread malt finish.

Savannah, Ga - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - Abercorn St. - 12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly sparkling light golden pour, light white head that clings to the edge of the glass. Aroma has some grassy accents, a touch of lavender. Flavor is mellow, with some light yeastiness, a touch of hard candy sweetness, light graininess. Mouthfeel is there. Just not getting too excited about this one.

Other unnamed sites call this a Kolsch. A watered down Saison seems more accurate. Drinkable not memorable.

Tap at Lazy Dog. A transparent amber with a ring of cream colored head. Taste of malt and butter. Don’t know what went wrong here.

Bottle from wish you were beer. Pours golden with a thin white head. Has a little bit of lacing. Not much on the nose. Thin on the tongue. Not a lot of hop flavor or peppery notes. Not good at all.

12 oz bottle served in a Belgian snifter. Bottled on date of 29 Oct. 2013. Pour is hazy apricot with a small head that soon reduces to a couple of thin islands. O: a session ale and drinks like one in the poor sense that it has little substance. Too bad, because this is distinctive and would be interesting if the flavor and aroma were ramped up a bit.
