This full-bodied India Pale Ale is loaded with fresh hops for a powerful blend of citrus, pine and fruit aromas. The firm malt backbones works well with the bold hop finish that everyone expects from an IPA.
Hops: Amarillo, Apollo, Cascade, Citra & Columbus
Malts: Crystal & Special Roast malts

Very cloudy Orange pour from bomber in Orange beach. Has the rotten fruit taste I don't like. Doesn't hide the booze well - tastes very strong for 7.5. Grapefruit and tropical notes. Fruity. Something about it I don't like but I know it isn't a bad beer

12oz bottle poured to sniffer. Thin white head dissipated quickly with minimal lacing. Smells malty and caramel with just a hint of piney hops. Malty, toasted sweetness to start and zing! Thereís the hops! Bitterness lingers with a nice grapefruit taste. Not what I was expecting from an IPA with the maltiness but it balances very well. Nice clear amber color.

Pours a clear amber colour with thin dissapating head. On the nose some clean passionfruit hops. Taste is hop heavy, nice twang of bitterness.

Tasted on 11/30/14 from a capped 12oz bottle purchased at Frugal MacDoogal. Pours clear, very bright, beautiful amber with an average off-white head that leaves average lace. The nose is is primarily bright pine and citrus hops with some white peppercorn and a bit more caramelly bread malt than I get from most IPAs. The flavor is more bread and caramel up front, moving to the nicely bitter, very bright, pine and citrus peel. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long bitter pine and bright citrus peel finish.

Amber color out of the bottle with a lasting off white head. Nose of hair spray, sweet fruits and pine. My initial impression of this beer was "sweet" with lots of fruity notes, some orange juice and light caramel. The hops do assert themselves in the end with a sharp pine and pinching grapefruit zest in the finish. It does get a bit boozy as it warms. Okay IPA.

Saw this bottle on the beer list at dinner tonight. Not a brewer Iím familiar with. Pours medium amber with a small thin head, fades fast. Nose is pretty bland with a strong malt character and little hops. Taste is similar with a bitter finish. Maybe thereís some pine notes in there but honestly its way too malty for an IPA. Its not a bad beer, in fact it was pretty good, it just wasnít a great IPA. Maybe they put their pale ale in the wrong bottle.

Bottle in trade from Burg. Thanks buddy. Pours dark amber red colored with a small off white head. Aroma of straight bready and sweet caramel malts, some toffee, I think they forgot the hops here. Letís just assume this a session barleywine going into the taste. Flavor is watered down sweetness, not a single hop to be found. Light bodied and low to medium carbonation. Well, Alabama, you have your work cut out for you. No this isnít offensive or off putting in any way, but thereís nearly no flavor and certainly no hops here. (Note: this was bottles 6/26/14 and poured 8/7/14 so itís not as if this is way out of date or even close). Imagine what your mash would taste like when brewing, pour it in a bottle, and call it Freckle Belly. Iíve got to note that seeing the other ratings makes me think there is severe bottle variation on this one. A fun tick as usual and hope to try again on tap, as I hear it is worlds different. Hey, if this was listed as an English IPA, it might get a better rating from me. Alas, it seems very clearly meant to be an American IPA, which it misses on by a good mile or so. Again, not offensive or bad, just nothing much going on here.

bottle, this is very sweet and has a sharp boozy flavor. No hop aroma or flavor but a very bitter finish. This is soooo 2008.

Poured an amber color from the tap with aromas of caramel, light floral hops, some fruit and a touch of citrus. Flavors follow suit, light citrus and bitterness in the aftertaste.
