This full-bodied India Pale Ale is loaded with fresh hops for a powerful blend of citrus, pine and fruit aromas. The firm malt backbones works well with the bold hop finish that everyone expects from an IPA.

Bottle. Floral, citrus on the nose. Flavor is the same. Chewing aspirin and not malty enough for the hop profile. Meh.

Bottle to tulip Tropical fruit, resin, grapefruit, spruce, and caramel aromas. Itís a clear, slightly red tinged amber with a creamy off white head, moderate lacing and mild carbonation. Caramel sweetness up front, with papaya and grapefruit and then as the sweetness fades, the bitterness shines through. It may be a tad thin as the sweetness fades quite quickly, but otherwise the mouthfeel is silky and smooth. A decent IPA.

Pours a clear medium orangish copper with a big frothy and lacey white head. Aroma of pine, resin, citrus grapefruit, sweet caramel and biscuit malts. Taste is a good balance of malts and hops with the focus more on the big malt base but flavors of pine, resin, grapefruit, citrus notes, caramel and sweet pale malts. Medium bodied well hopped but never astringent, great ipa bit could use a bit more hop flavor and bitterness to balance out the huge malt flavor.

Draft. Copper with medium white head and nice lacing. Aroma of citrus and pine hops. Medium body with hop bitterness upfront, caramel and malt notes, and a bitter finish.

Really good IPA. Big head, but not over carbonated. Aggressive hops, on the berry end of the spectrum, a little juniper. Sweet malt but not overly so. Good.

Rating #941 - January 27, 2014 - $18.99 for 6 341mL bottles at Coop - brought this in unlisted out of curiosity - 2 of their beers were in the #craftbeeradventcalendar. Pours a rich golden, small white head, minimal lacing. Aroma is grapefruity, pine, pastry dough. On the palate, similar citrus and pine zest, mild resin, mild pastry dough malt. Medium bodied and extraordinarily balanced. Right up there with the best american IPAs Iíve tried.

Crisp amber coloured body with a perfect copper glow and a one centimetre tall off-white/tan head. Aroma of bright grapefruity and piney hops, some herbal and resin notes and a good dose of malt, all with a touch of candy sweetness in the nose. Medium-bodied; Assertive bitterness of resin and pine with a hint of toffee and caramel and a little sweetness, before the hop bitterness kicks in. Overall, a well-balanced and nice East Coast IPA with a more balanced flavour and some other nuances aside from the hops, this time being caramel, citrus and some floral aspects. Definitely nice to try and worth picking up if you can find it! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Tampa, Florida on 03-January-2014 for US$2.29 sampled at home in Washington on 28-January-2014.

I got this in a growler fill and took it home for Christmas. This beer is a grapefruit bomb. It pours an amber color with a finger of honey foam. The beer is extremely well filtered. There is no cloudiness whatsoever. The aroma and flavor are both filled with grapefruit. There is also some very nice hop bitterness. This one really surprised me, much better than I anticipated.

Panama City Beach, FL - Chanís Wine World - 22 oz bomber. Sparkling medium copper pour, bubbly snow-white head. Aroma has a fresh spruce backbone, a hint of spearmint. Flavor has a solid citrus bittersweet bent to it, some light caramel notes, a touch of biscuit-like maltiness. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Pretty solid,
