Pours a clear golden yellow from the bottle with fluffy white head and moderate lacing. Aroma of pale malt and slight earthy hop. Taste follows, really thin and not much going on, but ready to drink. Meh.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass at the TacoMac in Douglasville, GA. The beer has a pale yellow color with a really great aroma. The flavor brings a slight citrus flavor with a little bit of hoppiness. I really like this beer and I recommend that you try it if you can find it.

Pleasant piney hop aroma that does not deliver on the taste. Earthy, cellar-like tones take the center stage and is not helped by the flat mouthfeel. A mixed experience.

Rated base on notes taken 9 Feb 2012 -- A crisp refreshing beer. Not bad from my first try of Alabama beer.

Tasted on 11/17/14 from a 12oz can purchased at Midtown. Pours hazy dark orange with a thick off-white head that slowly recedes to thick, rocky, sticky lace. The nose is floral citrus with a bit of grass and caramel malt. The flavor is a bit more caramel malt forward, with the same floral and grassy notes from the nose. The body is medium with a sticky texture, average carbonation, and a long grassy hops and caramel malt finish.

Bottled, although I’ve had it on tap before back when I lived in Alabama. Hazy amber color, medium white head. Very floral aroma and flavor, clean finish. Compared to what else was available in Alabama, this was definitely among the best. I buy a case of it whenever I’m in Auburn.

On draft at baby wale in DC. Pours a hazy gold with an off white head. Grassy nose. Flavors of hay and resin. My first Alabama beer.

Bottle 12fl.oz.

[ As Back Forty Naked Pig Pale Ale ].
Clear medium yellow color with a huge, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, funky, moderate hoppy, grass - dry grass, horse blanket, leather. Flavour is moderate sweet and light acidic with a long duration, sweet fruity malt, funky, shoe polish. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20140418]

manages to be clean and crisp, yet hoppier than usual and with a unique malt profile and higher levels of complexity than expected. from a style where few stand out, this one is pretty high. Grassy, citrus hops and a slightly biscuity malt character make for a nice combo. i’m having this after a cold weather run, but it would be a very nice summer/hot weather brew. thanks Lou for the trade, and for my 40th state. 93rd percentile in style seems about right."

Bottle - 12oz. Slightly hazy, amber body with an average white frothy head. Fresh hoppy aroma with orange, malty, and yeasty hints. Its sharp hoppy taste carries grainy, citrusy, and piney notes. Ends with a robust, but rather short bitter/grainy finish. Pretty decent Pale Ale. Thanks Kevin and Christina!

Clear gold. Fairly dry malt. Light hops. Fairly uninspired pale, but not bad. Just boring.
