Better for washing down a rack of ribs than just enjoying in its own right. Fortunately that’s what I used it for. Faint hops, fainter malt.

Could have been old... For sure wasn't good. Just a malty bomb, flavorless and blech. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fresh citrus soapy aroma. Mostly clear golden ale, with a carpeting white head that clings to the glass like frost.  A summer ale -- light on just about everything -  sweetness, bitterness. A tad briny, refreshing but not a Rube Goldberg beer, pretty straightforward.  Hops light up as it warms.  Mellow Mushroom, Auburn.

16oz draft at the Mellow Mushroom, drank it with pizza. Complemented food perfectly, not too much taste to overshadow the food, but enough taste to differentiate it as well! Aroma wasn’t much to speak of, a little hoppy...taste was slight hops, but you could taste the sweet maltyness too actually. I agree with the description that the aftertaste is "clean". Light body. I have two rating rolled into one. I’ve had this in the bottle and its a nice APA. Hopped well enjoyable for sure. However I had on tap at the Brewery and it was truly horrible. I poured it out. That my friends is bad beer. Tasted watered down, a definite bad batch. Yall need to watch consistency.

From notes. First reviewed 11/24/2011. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a pint glass. Thanks for RC0032 for bringing this back from his travels. Naked Pig Pale Ale is a clear pale golden yellow color; it looks filtered. A small eggshell cap forms initially but fades away quickly. No lace to speak of. The aroma is sweet, with pale malt and honey on the front of the nose. Spicy pine, some grapefruit and a bit of grass are noticeable in a bitter hoppiness. The taste starts with a pleasant biscuits and honey sweetness as well. The flavor moves to a long, clean bitterness fairly quickly. I am fairly sensitive to Simcoe hops, so I notice those as being the most dominant. Grapefruit takes a bit of a lesser role here, with just a touch of the grassy hops toward the end. The finish is clean with a reemergence of the sweetness from the beginning; just a ligth lingering bitterness. This has a typical IPA mouthfeel. Bitter residue is left in my mouth from the hops, and a light citrus juiciness creates some salivation. The body is on the light side and the carbonation is on the full, crisp side. This is definitely a beer that presents some nice hop fortitude. As I get through the glass, though, I begin to feel that the flavors flatten out and into a kind of honey and bitter malaise.
