3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at home. Thanks Hopscotch. Pours mostly clear light amber with a medium off white head. The aroma is honey and spices, flowers and orange marmelade. The flavour is flowery and honey with some malty and light citric notes. Brown ale? No. Different and interesting? Yes indeed!

Not sure why this is marketed as a brown ale. It is red in color and there is no trace of malty brown ale flavors. Juicy fruitiness reminiscent of strawberries dominate the tongue.

Clear amber w/ off-white foam head. Aroma is barley, sweet. Sweet honey barley taste. Not too outspoken. No aftertaste to speak off either, bit flat beer. (Velp 201409)

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
bottle @ Habersham Beverage / Savannah GA --- Clear amber brown color, off-white head cover, a band of lace. Taste is lightly roasted malt that adds quite a bit of honey in the palate before turning just a bit bitter in the lingering sweet finish. Pretty simple, drinkable, but not very memorable.

Bottle sampled at Classic City Brew Fest 2014. Pours a clear golden brown with hint of bubbly white head. Aroma is caramel malt, toasted wood, and metal. Taste is less metallic, hint of sweetness and nuts. Meh.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Clear golden-amber color with a short light tan head. Faint aromas. Notes of honey, metal, and smoke. Watery texture. Flavor mimics aroma. This is pretty bad.

clear mid brown. aroma of wheat, caramel. tastes full wheat & caramel, woody, leather. great dry finish slight bitter. more approachable than sickly sweet browns out there. doesn’t get enough respect.
