Clear red-brown, off white foam. Aroma is sweet, malty, toasty, sweet honey, cocoa. Taste is sweet again, cocoa, caramel, light metal but a nice toasty sweet body.

Decent enough pour but looks light for a "brown". Aroma is faint honey. More honey in the taste but could more assertive malt/hops.

Thanks, brentfeesh. 12oz brown bottle into tulip glass. Nice graphic design and hilarious name, as with most Back Forty beers. It poured a clear, medium brown color with slight red hue, persistent off-white head of tiny bubbles with lace. Sure looked like bottle fermentation, but the label didn’t say anything about it. Aromas of caramel malt, honey (I could easily imagine wildflower nectar), flowery and earthy hops. Flavors were true-to-style English Brown Ale, but a little bland and mushy, didn’t live up to its aromas. Average body and carbonation, pretty quick, dry finish. Drinkable, pretty good, not great. A little yeast or grain complexity would dramatically improve this one.

Bottle. Pours golden/amber with a smallish white head. Aroma is caramel, some honey, some spicy hops. Flavor is caramel, a bit grainy, some honey. Pretty sweet. Not much in the way of elements I associate with a brown ale. Mouthfeel is a bit too heavy.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours clear dark amber with small white head. Some lacing, light body, low carbonation, syrupy texture, and off aroma. Taste is light roasted malt and honey. Pretty good, good amount of honey, but lighter than most brown ales.

Aroma of tart fruits, white raisins, and slight honey. Pours bronze and dirty. Taste has notes of nuts, honey, chlorine and funk. Light Mouthfeel and terrible taste.

12oz bottle. Looks good, tastes bad. Pours is copper-colored and clear, but no (very very faint) aroma! Lackluster attempt - "brown ale" is a cop-out. Tastes like nothing, especially not honey. Let this one stay at the truck stop.

Pours a light brown with a tiny white head. Honey and fruity esters in the aroma. Very malty and warming with a touch of heavy sweetness.

Bottle. Pours amber with an off white head. Honey sweet aroma with some light toasty notes. The flavor has toasted grains, honey, and low bitterness. Pretty good.
