blue waxed22 courtesy of pittsburgkid. cloudy orange with a dirty light brown head that leaves good lacing and spotting in my moonlight pint. nice spicy aroma, not typical pumpkin style but a lot bolder, earthier, bigger, almost has a bit of saison character from the specific spice profile, which comes through in the taste as well. the taste is nice, big and bold and earthy, very savory, and then the finish is pleasantly bittersweet with a great sweeter malt profile of breakfast foods. nice stuff, drinks very well and seems much lower abv.

22 oz blue wax bottle thanks to Mike. Pours hazy orange color with off white head. Aroma is apricot, orange peel, and caramel malt. Medium mouthfeel. Flavors follow the nose. With a heavy emphasis on the apricot, has a citrus tart twang, some butterscotch, and finishes with a alcohol note. Pretty average.

Bottle… Cloudy, burnt orange ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. The highlights of the aromatics are caramel and black cherry funk. Medium-bodied with soft carbonation. The flavor is well-balanced - malty with moderate bitterness and modest acidity. Lightly tangy, bone-dry finish. Bottle courtesy of 50belair!</B

Bottle. This ale is so bad, i can’t write want I really want to. I guess the most complimentary thing i can say is that it taste like old stale carpet...

Tap at Back Road fest and now bottle at home: Pours a mahogany coppery brown hue with quickly fading fizzy head and minimal lace. The aroma has massive notes of crystal/caramel malts, brown nutty malts and some pale malt too. There is a over ripened fruitiness and brown sugar aspect about the nose before a very noticeable medicinal alcohol vapour. The taste is very malty and slightly sweet with some fruit and earthiness in support. Got quite a bit of booze and some hop spice towards the finish. Honestly this is very one dimensional and quite raw, brash, and aggressive. I am not sure what Chuck ultimate end goal was but I am very interested if this is what he planned on this beer becoming. That said there are aspects of this beer to do actually enjoy bit then again I do like a well crafted British Strong Ale anyways. (note, let this warm up and breath, it is really not to good cold)
