UPDATED: JUN 6, 2007 12oz bottle- A mix of blueberry and hop aroma on a light orange amber body with a head that dissipates quickly. Has a dry taste with the blueberry taste coming out on the back end. I prefer a little more taste in my fruit beers but not a bad beer.

Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Deep orange amber brew with off white head. Aroma of blueberry pie filling - yum. Taste is is berry-forward with blueberry tartness and tang from the start of the swallow through to the dry finish. While it smells like blueberry pie the taste is crisp, tart, and not all that sweet - which is good. Excellent brew.

Bottle @ home- bonus from some generous trader that I don’t remember. I really enjoy blueberry beers, so thanks! Caramel orange, cloudy appearance with a big, carbonated, fluffy, cream colored head. Mild to moderate blueberry, somewhat spicy, grassy hops, light malty aroma. Somewhat sour puckering, moderate blueberry, light bodied fruit beer. Spicy, mild blueberry, mildly sour aftertaste. Not bad, just a little surprised by the fruit sourness.

bottle as an extra in a recent trade poured a dark golden in color with a thin covering of white foam. aroma has real blueberry, light sweetness, and a good malted mix. mouth feel is light but not watery and has average carbonation. flavor brings on more malted character, blueberry is there but not dominant and has a slight bit of tartness. there is a bit of a spice and perhaps some peppery hits and this is really a fruited beer and not a sweet berry soft drink.

Aroma is fresh baked blueberry muffins. Appearance was dark orange. I was expecting a brew with a light blue tint to it. Taste is much more hoppy then the style calls for. The blueberry taste was hidden in the hops. should have used Saaz hops or another hop with low Alpha Acid. Little malt, palate is lingering, not crisp, and very bold. Overall, okay, but not worth $13 a 6 pack. Save your money and buy a 6 pack of bar harbor blueberry ale..

Righty-O, going into this expecting a Blabaer clone, more or less. Let’s see if it meets or exceeds these expectations. The beer pours a slightly cloudy medium amber color, and maybe it’s just my eyes playing tricks on me, but I’m seeing bluish/purplish hues in there. One-finger off-white head sits atop it, and the lacing is not shabby. The aroma is interesting. Lots of blueberries, like blueberry pancakes, with a peppery/spicy note and some caramel malt evident. The flavor is all right. You can’t miss the blueberries here, but they’re not overdone. There’s a spiced note to it - ginger maybe - along with black pepper and a muffin-like malt character. This is actually not bad. Medium-light bodied with average carbonation. An above average fruit beer overall. Can’t do too much hating on this one.

Served from bottle into a Samuel Smith imperial pint. Poured a clear red-orange with a one finger off-white head that subsides to minimal. Also had a few floaties present in the bottom as well. Maintained decent lacing throughout. The aroma was comprised of malt, wheat, and blueberry muffin!? Hell yes! The flavor was of malt, blueberry, bread, with a wheat followthrough. The blueberry muffin flavor was an aftertaste after swallowing. Definitely liked this aftertaste. It was light on the palate with medium carbonation. Overall this was a very nice extra to get ahold of. The blueberry muffin aroma and aftertaste knocked this one up a notch for me. However, the flavors present were kind of light, but the ones that were there were quite nice however.

Thanks to hopdog for sharing this 12 oz bottle. Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a smaller bubbly white head. Aroma of blueberry muffins, floral and perfumey notes. Flavor is lighter on the blueberry than aroma. Very sessionable and not too much sweet or artificial fruitiness. Some tart notes.

tap at the brewery - This brew has a nice blueberry aroma. The flavor has bittering hops similar to several other Back Road beers though a little lighter than the small beer and pale ale. It’s hoppier than most fruit beers though. The blueberry is there in the flavor but not strong. This brew is light bodied and a little watery.

Bottle courtesy of shawnm213. Pours copper with a white head. Smells of blueberries, buttery, tangy. Tastes of pepper, blueberry, soapy, spicy.
