On tap at the Vista location. Pours with a clear, deep golden body with no head. Aroma of honey, biscuit, toast, and caramel. Flavors are caramel, grainy, husky and toasty. Medium bubbles. Pretty average tasting ESB.

A: The pour is a nice light copper color with a mild off-white head. S: The aroma is somewhat light, but what is there is pretty enjoyable. Hints of toffee and bread with a light grassy hop aroma. T: Fairly heavy on the bread with a light sweetness in the form of toffee. There’s a slight creaminess to this beer that was sort of surprising, but also enjoyable. A very moderate level of bitterness. M: The body is a bit on the heavy side for an ESB, but still good. Medium carbonation to go with it. D: Like most US drinkers, I prefer my ESBs more on the bitter side, but this was still pretty good.

[Part of sampler @Vista, CA] Very drinkable beer. The best I sampled at Back Street. Light amber colour, hoppy with a sweet aftertaste. Warm. Nice.

From tap in Irvine. Light amber brown color with a thin layer of creamy white head and a semi translucent, syrupy appearance. Light aromas of english toffee, along with a touch of honey and some grassy hops. The flavor is quite a nice balance of cookie dough maltiness and bitter hops. Some floral marigold flowers and nutty almonds make a palate appearance as well. Final smack brings out the bitter hop characters more cleanly.

Pours to a clean brassy body with a thin white head. The aroma is lightly bitter and has hints of graham cracker. The flavor is subtle bitterness, yellow grapes, and graham crackers. I also get Hershey’s almond bars. The palate is medium bodied, slick, so-so.

Nioce aroma, decent head, little lacing. Very thin tasting beer. Not what I expect from an ESB. Mild hop aroma and finish, not really very bitter. Very mild malt flavor. I hate to say it, but this is probably the best this joint has to offer! A palatable beer, nothing to write home about.

More mellow sweet crap from this strip mall crap, er I mean Tap House. The finish was a little more balance than the others.
