COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This West Coast style American Pale Ale is brewed with an abundance of Cascade hops. This medium bodied, copper ale is a favorite to many. Who could resist its assertive bitterness and distinct citrus aroma?

Hazed amber color/ white head. Mild floral, pine hoppy aromas. Medium body with mild carbonation. Good floral, tropical fruit hoppy flavors on a solid sweet caramel malty base.

At brewpub. Yellow/pale amber pour with small white head. Caramel malt, citrus, and lightly bitter hops. Pretty light, not very interesting. Might be a good choice for the average drinker.

I had this on tap at the Ladera Ranch location. it’s a clear yellow/golden pour with a mild amount of citrus hoppiness. To me, it’s pretty toned down for an APA

On tap at the Vista location. Pours with a clear golden body and a white head. Aroma is grassy, grainy with some orange. Flavors are peach, citrus, bitter, and grainy. Lively bubbles, dry, and lingering bitterness.

A: The pour is a shockingly fluorescent light yellow color with a white head. S: A decent citrus (orange) aroma with a light maltiness. Overall, though, there’s a weird aroma. Perhaps some strange floral notes. T: Solid citrus rind flavor that lends some bitterness as well as some lightly floral and grassy hop notes. A hint of pine and a decent amount of bread forward malt. M: The body is on the light side of medium with a moderate carbonation. D: A pleasant flavor, but nothing awe-inspiring or really something that I’d look forward to having again.

From the Jug at the GABF Colorado Convention Center, Denver 09/10/2008 Hop aroma. Golden coloured with a pine fruit flavour. Crisp and slightly bitter malt finish.

On tap at Vista location. For the style this was definitely good. Clear, rich gold in color with a frothy white head. Aroma of citrus, flowers, caramel, apple and fruit. Flavor was really nicely balanced, although some of it was a bit unrefined. Caramel, fruit, apple with earth and flowers in the finish.

On-tap at the vista location. Pours golden yellow with a thin white head, specks of lace. Smells malty and slight metallic, plenty of caramel with slight earthy hops. Tastes estery hoppy with lots of caramel and and some citrus. A bit of a mess. Medium body, ok carbonation.

Sample at the Irvine brewpub. Pours clear orange with a medium thin light beige head that dissipates steadily. Top ring of lace with spots under. Mildly bitter hops aroma with some sweet fruit. Medium-bodied with flavors of hops and citrus primarily, and some sweet malt as well. The finish is citrusy hops with a lingering bitter aftertaste. Decent overall.
