S - Roasted coffee, dark malt, toasted rye.
T - Follows the nose. Dry roasted coffee beans, slightly sour, toasted rye bread. Hints tang and dry on the finish.

Big time coffee flavors. A perfect beer for breakfast. Not super complex but very enjoyable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sample at GABF 10/13/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. This brew pours a brownish-black color with a medium foamy tan head and small patches of lace. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Light-bodied with a roasty character of coffee and malt. Mild hops in the background. The finish is mildly bitter with a coffee aftertaste. Decent overall.

Had this in a gowler, from notes taken at the time. Pours into snifter a cola color with not a lot of head. Smells of chocolate and coffee, nice roasty aroma. Taste is sweet and chocolatey with a good roasted barley flavor and slight earthiness. Overall this is a pretty good stout.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nitro at Freshcraft - nearly black pour - fairly light-bodied, but with a silky, creamy mouthfeel - flavor is farily mellow, with some moderate milk sugar sweetness, balanced by a light char/roast character and medium to high coffee flavors - a light bit of acidity, most likely from the coffee, but other than that it is fairly smooth and does not become overly bitter or abrasive, like many coffee stouts do - I enjoyed it.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour on tap at the brewery, dark black with creamy espresso head, aroma brought notes of coffee grounds, some slight wet biscuit and cracker, hints of caramel, chocolate notes as well. Taste is overwhelming coffee but the wet grounds type which I’m not a fan of, going into a touch of chocolate and caramel, finishing fairly bitter and roasted. Not bad.
