A nice breakfast stout overall. Pours a deep black with a tan head. Smells of coffee, coffee, coffee and Yoo Hoo. Taste is more balanced, with cream, subtle coffee, oatmeal and more Yoo Hoo in the finish. Had in the bottle.

Barreras (1228) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - MAR 14, 2015
Pours a rich black color with a distinct dark roast coffee aroma. Taste is mildly bitter chocolate with a full coffee flavor. The coffee tastes dark roasted, with some earthy flavors. This beer is missing the sweetness to it for the style. Overall a very drinkable beer with little aftertaste.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown, tan head that faded away quickly. Aroma of coffee, some bitter chocolate. Moderate coffee taste, some roasted malts. A little sweetness. Not much carbonation, for a stout, it didn’t have much body and was thin. Overall this was an ok beer, very drinkable. I prefer the thick and chewy Imperial stouts, but this might work for someone new to the style. Maybe they could change the label to read, "A Sessionable Breakfast Stout."

Beaver (1443) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - DEC 4, 2014
12 oz bottle, dated 9/12/14. Pours dark brown black with a small light tan head that quickly goes to a thin collar that leaves some lacing.

The aroma is fudgy chocolate with nice roast coffee.

The flavor is sweet fudgy chocolate with nice slightly acidic roast coffee. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation and is a bit watery.

Overall, it’s nice with sweet chocolate and tons of coffee. It’s a bit thin and watery though.

Salmoniform (1222) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - OCT 5, 2014
Poured from tap to glass. Dark hue with tan head that dissipated to a ring. Aroma is coffe, chocolate, vanilla. Mouthfeel is decent with a medium light body and soft carbonation. Taste is sweet followed by a nice coffee bitterness. Overall this beer is a bit under carbonated but pretty nice.

On tap at the brewery. Pours black with tan head. Aroma is strong coffee, chocolate, sweet. Taste is smooth, flat, medium to full bodied, bitter finish. Overall, okay.

Black pour under a fading light tan head. The aroma is similar to Hershey’s chocolate and a touch of coffee. Smooth rich and sweet flavor with a taste similar to the nose. Hershey’s chocolate, a kiss of coffee and a kiss of tobacco. Actually the tobacco comes through a bit more strongly on the finish once it warms a little. That tobacco note is far too distracting.

12 oz bottle from Frisco Liquors. Coffee, light roasted malts, toasted grains and chocolate. Light body, pretty sessionable and easy to drink.

Bottle. Dark pour with a khaki head. Awesome coffee aroma, more on the taste. Palate is moderate at best. This is better than I expected.
