On tap poured a dark brown hue w/ a small tan head. Light roast aroma. Initial flavor is light sweet w/ a faint bitter finish. Tastes are light roast breakfast coffee and roasted malts. Medium bodied and watery mouthfeel.

black beer with a small fizzy tan head. smells like a mild cup of coffee taste is pretty similar a cup of coffee with milk and a bit of sugar a pretty good beer over all

Tap at Mtn Sun. Pours dark brown with quickly diminishing, fine khaki head. Aroma is dark, roasted coffee, cold, bitter coffee. Flavor is bitter, heavily roasted coffee, some lactose sweetness in the finish. Moderate carbonation and light body.

On tap. Thin, creamy head that dissipates quickly. Good lacing. Tastes of coffee, chocolate and vanilla. Light carbonation and thin head leads to a slightly lower ranking, but a good beer.

Tap at brewpub. Pours deep, dark brown with creamy beige head. Aroma is chocolate and roasted malts, coffee, light woody notes, and light ash. Flavor is dry roast malts forward, chocolate and coffee bitterness, and faint vanilla sweetness; dry, roasted finish. Medium body and low carbonation.

Draft at the brewery. Pours black with a thin, fizzy beige head. Tastes strongly of coffee, chocolate, burnt toast, sweet and bitter. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like coffee, semisweet chocolate, and cool malt.

Sampled at GABF 2013. Pours a murky black with some creamy, beige head. Very nice nose, coffee, malt, toast, oats, vanilla. Flavor has some sweet malt, licorice, vanilla, some cookie, milk chocolate. Finishes clean and dry. Very nice. Smooth and drinkable.

Draft at Backcountry. Pours black with cool gray head. Aroma is huge toffee, cocoa, heavy burnt currents. Taste is a burst of flavor, mainly toffee and burnt carmel, toasty.

A - Pours pitch black with a tight mocha head. Retains very well. Sheets of lacing.
S - Roasted coffee, dark malt, toasted rye.
T - Follows the nose. Dry roasted coffee beans, slightly sour, toasted rye bread. Hints tang and dry on the finish.
M - Soft and super creamy, low carbonation.
Big time coffee flavors. A perfect beer for breakfast. Not super complex but very enjoyable.
