Poured at Backcountry on draft. Pours a red amber color with white head. Large amount of lacing. Has a sweet smell. Tastes sweet with hints of banana. Easy to drink and very enjoyable.

Tap at brewpub. Pours clear copper with fizzy off-white head. Aroma is caramel and toasted malts, fig, dates, light floral notes, and light toast. Flavor is dry bready malts forward, alcohol spice, light floral hops, and faint woody notes; dry boozy finish. Medium body and carbonation.

On tap at the brewery, pour is dark red with thin white head, aroma brought sweet notes of caramel, toasted sugars, hints of dark fruit, candied fruit, touch of earth notes as well. Taste is a mix of sweet caramelized sugars with caramel, toffee, some earthy tones with some dark fruit, finishing fairly sweet.

On tap at Wynkoop poured a clear amber with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of carmel, brown sugar and fruittiness. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmel, brown sugar and light fruittiness with a smooth carmely finish.

Clear, dark brown body. There is a bit of prune and date in the aroma. Slight sugar in the flavor. Smooth, but a bit alcoholic. Slight grapieness (scuppernong).
