Very dark brown to black color, tan head. Hoppy, sweet taste. Spritzy mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. Roasted, malty, hoppy scent.

Draft at Fresh Craft. Poured a deep mahogany with a frothy tan head. The aroma is citrus fruit and hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a liqourice, yeast, moderately dry hop palate. A nice beer but a black IPA needs a little more I feel.

On draft at brewery. Aroma of dark chocolate and coffee. Flavors of roasted malts, chocolate and sweetening hops, more mango than citrus. Nice head, dense lacing. A brisk, drinkable example of the style.

On tap at the Falling Rock it was listed as Ore Cart but I saw it on the internet as Ore Bucket so whatever. Dark black color, light tan head, it certainly looks the part. The aroma was alright with a slight hint of hops but really smelled like a porter to me. I swear these "IBA’s" are really just extra hoppy porters. The flavor was good, hoppy, and extremely easy to drink. I’d definitely order this again if I had the chance. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 05-08-2011 23:20:32

Crushed on tap. Not very hoppy. Dark malts, roast, this is a porter. There is basically no hop presence whatsoever. No body.

Tap at Freshcraft - black pour with an impressive off white head - nose of bitter black malts and resinous, piney hops - creamy body - falls into the trap that many black ipas do up front in that it is a bit too sweet and stouty - a fair amount of acidity through the middle - dries out enough for the strong, earthy, wood hops to be welcome - finish is a bitt too acidic - pretty good, though.

On tap @ Falling Rock. Black appearance with a thick brown head. Roasted dark malts and piney hops in the nose. Slightly grapefruity, medium piney hoppy flavor with mildly roasted dark malts. Piney bitter finish with a mostly piney aftertaste.
