Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Oct 7, 2005 Relatively bright amber colour. Slightly piney, passionfruity with popcorn malt character. Slightly faded hops...oxidation gets a little metallic. CaptainCougar (4638), Rockville, Maryland, USA Jun 23, 2005 Pours a clear bright copper with a thick, frothy, well-lacing white head. Aroma boasts nice piney western hoppiness and a touch of caramel malt. Body starts with a hint of sweetness turning more dry and citrusy toward a crisp bittersweet finish. Well-balanced, enjoyable and drinkable, but could be more intense without being an imperial IPA. hopdog (4569), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 15, 2006 On tap at the Backcountry Brew Pub. Poured a medium and clear amber color with a very small sized off white head. Aromas of floral, citrus, and light pine. Tastes of pine, light caramel, and citrus. Lighter bitter finish. Ernest (4229), Boulder, Colorado, USA Mar 23, 2003 Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is
light amber. Aroma is moderately hoppy (resin, pine), lighty malty
(toasted grain). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly
bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Passable. Not exactly
bursting with flavor though. jcwattsrugger (3942), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Nov 8, 2007 on tap-pours a thin off white head that laces and gold color.
