Tap at the brewery. Very hazy dark orange appearance with a quite small head. Wheat malts are mostly overpowered by the banana notes in the nose. Darker wheat malts with a light Bock flavor. Some alcohol but again mostly dominated by banana notes in the body. Sweet and slightly alcoholic aftertaste.

red tinted very slightly hazed brown with a foamy white head thatlaces well. caramel apple pecan banana taffy nose. very nice use of the spicey yeast & alcohol to balance this sweet beer. light clove & banana but the alcohol really dries this out in a pleasant way. i may see if i can get a growler- no growlers sold here party pigs and things of that nature only, hell damn crap-

Draft at the brewery in Frisco on 3/24/2008. It took me a few weeks to get the story on this beer, as the waitress didn’t really know much. According to Bill Keister, the head brewer, this is a variation on his Dopplebock. The only changes in ingredients are the use of 40% wheat malt, and a hefeweizen yeast.
This was a deep amber, with a moderate head and some decent lace. The typical aromas of a hefeweizen, some clove and fruit esters, were there, but subdued by the malty, caramel notes. Medium body and carbonation, and pleasantly smooth and softly dry. Malt based flavors predominate, caramel toffee, etc., and a spicy dry finish develops slowly. Tasty and quite easy to drink.
