Backer Brown is a brazilian beer made in the state of Minas Gerais. In the bootle says that this beer have chocolate as one of it´s ingredients so I don´t understando why someones says that the chocolate aroma of Backer Brow is too intense because this is the ideia of this beer. I like chocolate and i like bitter beers so I think that Backer Brown is a great beer.

Julho/2008. Coloração marrom escura, creme bege consistente e persistente. Notas predominantes de chocolate e malte torrado. Adocicada, com final levemente amargo. A cerveja cumpre bem sua proposta, embora deixe traços de artificialidade.

Very dark brown in colour with a frothy off white head. Aroma has very noticeable chocolate and coffee notes with light roasting. Taste is sweet with chocolate and coffee. The finish is not too bitter. Maybe a bit watery and lacks a bit of complexity. Overall quite a nice easy drinking brown ale and I actually like they’ve gone pretty heavy handed with the chocolate. Bottled. A dark brown beer with a creamy beige head. Aroma is chocolate, vanilla and roasted. Tastes is chocolate, malty and dry. Some bitterness in the ende. A good beer

Poured from a longneck bottle into a tulip. Thin, fragile beige head, with subtle lacing. Medium brown color, opaque. Aroma is very sweet, mixing chocolate with biscuit. Watery feel. Easily drinkable. Very mild bitterness and a short aftertaste. The main flavor is evidently chocolate. Very unique beer, completely different from other beers where the chocolate flavor comes from the roasted malt itself (Backer has real chocolate added during the brewing process). Interesting as a "dessert beer".

Bottle: Bought at La Tortula. Fully covered in golden tin foil, a great presentation, must be a new addition to this local brewery. Taste is chocolatey, semi sweet.

Bottle. Nice aroma with notes of chocolate and coffee. Color is brown with a nice biege head, flavor is the same to aroma, palate is some sweety. Cerveja marrom com espuima bege, aroma com notas de chocolate e café o mesmo para o sabor, deixa um sabor adocicado na boca.

Sua espuma, marrom-clara, tem volumosa aparência inicial e reduzida longevidade. Seu corpo marrom-escuro é opaco, de densidade grossa e apresenta excelente formação de colarinho. No paladar farejam-se leves notas de toffee e o "carro-chefe" anunciado no rótulo: MUITO chocolate, obviamente inserido de modo artificial - e em excesso. Ainda assim, é um aroma bem agradável, que incita o bebedor a provar qual o gosto de tal cerveja. Desafortunadamente, o quesito anterior não corresponde às expectativas. Seu sabor inicial é levemente doce e amargo, sensações estas que perduram até o final do gole, este de média duração. Notam-se ligeiros toques de chocolate no paladar, este composto por um corpo médio-leve, de textura aguada, carbonatação suave e final de sensação metálica. Tive a impressão de que a mesma tem uma textura semelhante a de uma pilsen comum adicionada a excessivas quantidades de chocolate.

Cerveja muito forte no sabor - o que desagrada. Cheiro forte de caramelo torrado. Bem escura, espuma ambar e sempre presente. Gosto forte, amargor balanceado com sabor torrado predominante. Remete ao sabor do capuccino.

Aroma achocolatado promove falsas expectativas em relação ao sabor fortemente cafeinado. Simplesmente não apreciei esta cerveja, apesar do agradável visual e aroma.
