Enjoyed at brewery along with their other offerings. A dark brown pour producing a quality head which left some lacing. Smells of roasted coffee and chocolate. First sip produces tastes of the semi-sweet toasted malts and this is when the hops make their pressence known. Medium mouth feel finishes fairly dry

On tap. Pours a clear brown color with an off-white head that sticks. Aroma of chocolate malt, caramelized nuts and some toasted notes. Taste is about the same, nutty, some chocolate, decently sweet, low bitterness. Creamy bubbles, lightish body.

On tap @Hollingshead Deli. Clear reddish brown with a two finger beige head, great retention. Clean aroma of toast and light baker’s chocolate, light sweet brown sugar behind. The flavor follows suit with little sweetness and some hazelnuts and vanilla. The finish is dry with bitterness peaking at a 3. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Very good brown!

I love brown ales and this one is done right. Not sickly sweet. Dark brown with a great malt taste. Slight bubbly carbonation.
