COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In case you hadn’t heard, there’s going to be a bacon shortage next year, and guess who is to blame? That’s right, Famine, the third brother has ridden in on his black horse, bearing his scales and taken away your delicious pork treats. But as least as the droughts set in there will be some Famine to drink, not that it will help in the long run. Food for thought: For added irony, drink Famine during your various acts of holiday gluttony!

Pours a two finger white head that fades quickly leaving traces of lace. Pale, murky amber color, ton of yeast left in bottle. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied. Nose is yeast, flavor is yeasty and light sweet orange peel. $8.49 for a 22oz bottle from Julio’s Liquors Westborough, MA.

Pours a slightly hazed gold into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to coat surface leaving no lacing. Sweet yeast and lemon aromas. Dry and thin with upfront caramel, hay and toast turning to yeasty lemon before the lasting bitter pith finish.
