Our Helles is a refreshing lager with a light (helles is German for light) golden color and just a touch of hops for a crisp clean finish. Perfect for any occassion, the Helles is the lightest of our styles.
Note: Formerly Einfach Helles.

Bottle, LOL. Four is a clear copper, some white head. Nothing really stood out about this for me. Some decent hops, albeit a bit stale. Definitely drinkable.

12oz bottle. Gross buttery off aroma. Steam beer aromas, way off and bad. It really gets to me when someone who makes a publicly sold beer and doesn’t even have basic comprehension of the styles they think they are paying tribute to. Low appearance score for the lack of filtration. Embarrassingly weak and amateur.

Bottle poured a clear gold with a small lasting white head. Aromas of straw, yeast and light earthiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, light yeast and light fruitiness with a crisp dry finish.

on tap @ Backpocket Brewing / Coralville IA --- Clear pale gold color, thin rim head, thin roller coaster of lace. Wheat and malt olpen this, and are matched by carbonation fizz in the palate. All fades to water quickly in the finish. There is some taste here, but mostly, this is a thin brew.

12oz bottle 9/28/13 (Hy-Vee Cedar Rapids)-Pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of grains, malt, and slight hops. Taste of the same. This light bodied brew was not bad.

On tap at the brewery. Gold and pretty clear with a lingering white head. Mild aroma of pale malts and light hops. Similar flavor, mild and lightly sweet with a touch of spicy bitterness. Light body, easy to drink.

Pale golden, minimal head. Light in body. Slight hop finish to a beer that tastes like Bud Light.

It's basically a Coors Light on steroids. And not the good 1980s-level "I don't care if I get caught" steroids. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours bright blonde with a thin head and medium carbonation. Aroma is sweet, almost like honey-nut cereal. Flavor is light and malty, slightly sweet, with a nice bitter and floral dandelion character. A bit of hop character sustains through the grassy finish, which is clean and crisp. A very nicely done sessionable beer. Too bad it’ll be ignored because it not "imperial" or high ABV.

12 fl oz bottle. From Iowa. Thanks John M!
Clear pale golden colour with a tiny white head. Weak aroma of malt. The flavour is mild bitterness and malt. Not very strong. Light in every way.
