2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Looks and taste as you would expect a lager. However it did have a bit more flavor than a typical budlight, just nothing I enjoyed. Probably a good starter for someone wanting to get into drinking craft beers. Not something I would try again.

It's basically a Coors Light on steroids. And not the good 1980s-level "I don't care if I get caught" steroids.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours bright blonde with a thin head and medium carbonation. Aroma is sweet, almost like honey-nut cereal. Flavor is light and malty, slightly sweet, with a nice bitter and floral dandelion character. A bit of hop character sustains through the grassy finish, which is clean and crisp. A very nicely done sessionable beer. Too bad it’ll be ignored because it not "imperial" or high ABV.

Bottle, LOL. Four is a clear copper, some white head. Nothing really stood out about this for me. Some decent hops, albeit a bit stale. Definitely drinkable.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
8/23/13. 12oz bottle from BlackIPA. Wife pulled this from the fridge, so here we go. Clear golden copper color with a small, decent off-white head. Oddly sweet aroma, reminds me of marshmallows, vanilla, bits of doughy malts, citrus, and a spice bite. Sweet flavor, hay, straw, vanilla, a floral aspects. Interesting.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle @ Holiday Inn Iowa City picked up @ John’s Grocery. Pours a hazy yellow appearance with a nice, off white head. Cracker, a bit spicy, vanilla, lemon, a bit tangy aroma. Somewhat spicy, grassy, herbal hoppy, lemon, cracker flavor. A little off but sort of shows promise.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled at Repeal of Prohibition fest 2013 at Schlafly Bottleworks - this was one of the big winners at the fest for me. Pours clear golden with a small white head. The aroma is grainy and bready with a light sweetness and is very clean. It has a medium body (still heavier than expceted for a helles) that is pretty smooth and has a quite a bit of carbonation. The flavor starts fairly sweet for the style, has a big husky/grainy aspect and a hint of fruit. The finish has some nice spicy hops. Nicely done.
