Cask at local Nicholsonís pub. Dandelion and burdock porter. Dark brown coloured pour with a creamy off white head. Aroma is semi sweet, liquorice, light roast. Flavour is composed of sweet malts, liquorice, light spices, bit of toast. Palate is medium bodied, little creamy. Meh.

On cask at the Haymarket. Appearance - dark brown to black with a lovely fawn head. Light orange chinks. Nose - milk chocolate, gentle praline. Taste - toffee, milk chocolate, hazelnuts at the back. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry creamy finish. Overall - enjoyable.

Cask at the Haymarkett. Pours clear dark brown, red chinks, with a thick beige head. Aromas of burnt toffee, bitter herbal notes. Taste is light sweet. Guess I get the dandelion and burdock thing. Light sweet finish.

On tap at Meet The Brewer, Cellar Door Drinks, Four Oaks. THIS IS NOT RETIRED!!! Pours red-brown with small head. Aroma of dark fruits, toasted malts, caramel and toffee. Taste of initial dark fruits, not too heavy though, then some toasty malts then a lovely smoky finish. Rate it!

Half-pint, hand-pulled on 24th Feb 2015: this Dandelion and Burdock Porter is not retired. Ruby hue to the reddy brown body, on top a creamy head in colour and texture. Sweetish feel to the brew with a definite flavour of that old English favourite pop: Dandelion and Burdock. Good body depth and overall a pleasant and easy drinking brew.

Gravity pour at cpfcbf. Pours dark brown. Aroma is slightly toasty, a little dark fruit, lemon. Light body, medium carbonation. Some light coffee, light caramel, touch of blackcurrant. Tastes a bit too tart - not right. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask at CPBF 2014. It pours deep brown with pretty much no head. The nose is earth, toast, plum pudding, spice, cherry cola, caramel, jam and dried fruits. The taste is toasty, tangy fruits, berry, plum skin, date, earth, toasty and raisin with a dryish finish. Touch if tang, suggests early infection. Medium body and soft carbonation. So-so.

Cask@the avion, aldridge. Dark reddish brown with small head. Aroma is light dandelion and burdock pop, the cheap stuff and some roasted malts. Taste is roasted malts and plums. Decent.

Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown with a reddish hue and a frothy off-white head. The aroma is light fruit hop. The flavour is light bitter with a roasted malt light bitter "dandelion and burdock" fruit palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation. A pleasant ale and very drinkable but Iím not sure that Iím into fruity porters tbh. Those people that are will rate it higher than I did. Cask in 2014 so not exactly "retired".
