Cask, The Last Plantagenet, Leicester. Mucky golden brown with an off white foam. Aromas are earthy with hazelnuts and mellow lemon. Sticky toffee with Weetabix and spicy, herbal notes. Fairly medicinal with wood and cream. Flavours are toffee with bittersweet lemon and spicy, woody aspects. Dry black tea with blackberry and some autumn leaves. Pretty decent.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at The Fountain Inn, Walsall. Poured a clear golden brown with a thick white head. The aroma is weak but malty. The flavour is very bitter, rich, hoppy, spicy and with some nutty notes. The bitterness is exquisite and really contributes to the richness and flavour of the ale. A very drinkable session beer.
