Cask@TheVictoria, Walsall. Black beer with large foamy head, Aroma of dark roasted malts and coffee. The taste is of smooth coffee and dark chocolate with roasted malts knocking around. This is a medium to thick bodied stout, very easy to drink. A very good stout I would highly recommend. Porter tastes with a stout texture.

Fra cask på Lincolnshire Poacher, Nottingham 27 Jan 14. Svart. Lavt, svakt farget tett skum som varer en stund. Gardinlacing. Veldig forsiktig kaffearoma. Smaken litt tynn. Hint av oppvaskvann & kaffe. Svakt tørr i ettersmaken. Blir hverken fugl eller fisk.

Cask, The Felix, Nuneaton, 28/01/14. Thick collared, glossy deep ruby brew. Moderate soft bitter cocoa and roast nose with dark stone fruit hints. MOR soft black cherry and milky coffee character with crumbs of cinder toffee. Functionally sound.

On the train from Hereford to Inverness, 9 pint mini keg thanks to SP, 18/10/13. Mid black with a moderately sized light tan head. Nose carries a dark fruit tang, liqourice, dark maltyness, earthy cocoa. Taste comprises dark berry fruit, cocoa, liqourice, molasses, leather, earthy. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry roasty finale. Decent stout.

Cask at the Fountain Inn, Walsall. Poured a dark mahogany with a thick tan head. The aroma is surprisingly weak with just a hint of maltiness. The flavour is medium bitter and of liqourice and malt. A decent stout, but lacks body and there are better examples out there.
