On cask at White Star, Stoke. Pours amber, with little head. A bit too bready, not as per it’s description. Yet another inoffensive and boring ale.

Don’t usually go for floral type ales, but this is now an exception.
Distinctive floral aroma and taste but not too pungent. Very easy drinking.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Gold with white head. Light, quite thinnish beer, kept over cold in this Spoons unfortunately, little left to revive. Some perfumed hop perhaps, a touch hay maybe, some toffee sweetness. It’s ok if a little bland.

Cask at The Fountain, Walsall. Poured a clear golden brown with a big white frothy head. The aroma is weak malt. The flavour is medium bitter malty with a rather smooth palate. Given its alcohol content it’s a perfect session beer.

GraviCask (GBBF2011, Friday)
Big head, looks good. Simple malty aroma, quite pleasant. Refreshing palate. It’s not particularly exciing, but is a yummy malty bitter. Easily holds its own against UK golden ales.
