3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Au Grain d’Orge, Crissier
Pale blond color, cloudy, with small head. This beer has plenty of citrusy character, lemon peel above the rest, and light notes of tropical fruits; it has a moderate wheat/spicy character, and correct bitterness. The mouthfeel is rather dry.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Patricks. It pours a lighlty unclear, yellowish golden body under a white head of fingerthick size. Peaches, orange peel, some pine cones and a touch of pineapple in the aroma. Not much maltyness. Quite low on maltyness in the flavor too, a pleasant bitterness chimes in towards the end, lasting for a good while. Peaches, orange peel and some pine cones too. Pleasant carbonation, medium body. There’s something resembling a little alcohol warmth, guess it’s the hops playing tricks on my palate. Overall, a very drinkable and quite tasteful beer, the kind I wouldn’t mind seeing as a regular. 120811

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Tap (Olhus Copenhagen, Helsinki)
Stinky stanky aroma, plenty of armpit in this. Pale, hazy, small head. Taste probably worse than the aroma, it’s a slimy sticky palate, some sharpish sour fruit notes, basically quite unpleasant to have in the mouth. Even the pleasantly bitter finish can’t convince me to finsh the glass. In fact, it’s better not in the mouth than in the mouth, so the latter is being avoided.

courtesy of Himmy - cloudy blond-orange beer with no head retention; fresh fruity hoppiness with notes of apricots and peaches; hints of cream; a decent malt backbone and a fair bitterness; quite dry aftertaste of bitter oranges, pines and lemon; tasteful and elegant

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
200ml draught, drinking with ClubGonzo at Henrik Øl og Vinstove. Golden body with a wheat haze. Tiny, bubbly, white layer. Fresh aroma of hoppy fruits with a touch of wheat. Succulent taste of fruity hops with bittersweet oranges and lemon up front on a backbone of wheat. Smooth bitter endnotes. Soft in the mouth. Exciting and successfully made ( Bergen, 17.09.2012).

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
2.5oz on tap at Ei8ht Ball. Mildly hazy yellow color. White head. Grassy, herbal aroma. Some brett to this, which I wasn’t really expecting, and not really enjoying here. Aside from the brett, there’s some spiciness, maybe a touch of wit-style yeast... Medium body. Soft, moderate strength bright tingly carbonation. Dry finish. Moderate sour taste, light to moderate bitter, light to moderate sweet. Way off. If the brett was intentional, then this is just clunky. Doesn’t taste any different from way-old brett-infected "white IPAs" I find in liquor stores in Georgia. Not enjoyable, pretty unpleasant, Brett is super-distracting.
