COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Si tratta di una quasi-double IPA realizzata con luppolo californiano e creata in collaborazione con don Bill Green (illustratore del fan club de Il grande Lebowski, da cui il nome Dude)... elementi che dicono già molto su cosa aspettarsi.

Draught @ BirraSo 2013, Barcelona. Pours a dark copper amber colour. Aroma of resin, caramel and grass. Flavour of heavy resiny bitterness, some floral notes, caramel and some astrigent. Medium bodied, soft carbonation and a heavy, sweet and bitter finish. Nice one.

Any brewer brewing an hommage to ’The Dude’ Lebowski deserves my respect. On top of that, a DIPA in a can. Can 33cl, BB 14/09/2013.

Canned. Pours hazy dark orange with a medium white head. Aroma with lots of red fruits, mango, some caramel, hops and sweetness. Taste is quite sweet with red fruits, mango and a medium to heavy bitter finish. Soft to medium carbo and a medium body. Quite smooth mouthfeel. Best Swiss IPA I’ve had so far, but not really a double IPA.

Ottima double ipa dal buon profumo agrumato e floreale con note leggermente speziate anche al gusto. Ottimo corpo e buon equilibrio per una birra beverina e fresca. ---Rated BY Italianbeer85

Can thanks to Bruce. It pours hazy amber with a medium off-white head. The nose is earth, pine, varnish, caramel, toasted brown bread and stewed orange. The taste is earth, caramel, wood, varnish, leaf, toasted grass, orange, marmalade and a touch of spice with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent enough.

Can at Bruce’s - London. Another Swiss whale, thanks to Bruce. Pours hazy amber with a foamy, off-white head. Nose of ripe berries, some dank citrus, brown bread. Medium sweet flavor, some dry brown bread, a bit of pine, some dirt and earth, ripe oranges. Medium bodied with fine, lightly creamy carbonation. Light dry pine to finish, very fine resinous quality, further ripe citrus, some toasted grass. Alright.

2013-06-24, draught at La Bossette, Lausanne, 8-4-8-5-16=41
Dark amber color with small head. Nice caramel aroma and some hop; compared to Hobo, more caramelly; hint of crystal. Good body strength; semi-sweet caramel flavor, with good hopping, more aromatic, fruity and resiny than the Hobo.
Very good, balanced.

2013-06-24, can, from Au Grain d’Orge, Crissier, bb 14 Sept 2013, 7-5-8-3-15=38
Bright amber color with medium sized compact head. The aroma is a nice blend of sweet caramel and orangey hops, with a peppery final. Good body strength; caramel flavor with moderate residual sweetness; it has a good component of biscuits/cookies; strong hopping, with pleasant resins and decent fruity touch; long final.
Dominant caramel, therefore more American Strong than the self defined Double IPA.
Good and clean beer.

Can from Fork & Bottle, Zürich. Cloudy, glowing copper with a big yellowish head. Hoppy aromas reminding me of pine and citrus together with some caramel. Quite bitterness, piney freshness, moderate sweetness. An original IPA (now that is something new!)

33cl can courtesy of Allen, merci maat! - A DIPA by a Ticino-Swiss brewery going by Bad Attitude Dude and containing Centennial, Simcoe and Chinook...this could go either way. - Pours a deep dark orange with good adhesive foam. Simcoe on the nose, immediately apparent, pine and some burnt rubber/cat pee. Palate is initially pleasantly full, but then also quickly gluey and oily. Sweet, honey malts providing good backing to back up the blow of these potent bittering and aroma hops. Rather apparent alcohol fumes, with buttery notes coming to the fore as it warms. This, in addition to Simcoe, always give my stomach a hard time. That is more than just an attitude and just uncouth...dude.

Nice deep woody red, huge rocky head. Big fruity caramelly aroma. Smells like it might be sticky. Relatively mild palate, soft and smooth, carbonation quite refreshing. Tons of caramel in the taste. Absolutely classic US style sweet strong hoppy IPA. Tons of sweet aromatic hops, but a good level of bitter hops too. Maybe a little bit too sweet and sticky, but drinkability high. Alas some alcohol appears later as it warms. Still remains highly drinkable.
