It’s an IPA, India Pale Ale, amber colored and with a strong hoppy aroma.

A beer that’s been made for thirsty people, to be drank without too much thinking, to be enjoyed while strolling down the streets on warm evenings.

In brewing Hobo we used a big amount of rye (29 %) and 10 % wheat, plus five different kinds of malted barley. We decided to use hops from America and New Zealand: we used Nelson Sauvin during FWH and in whirlpooling, while in the next two additions we used Amarillo and Cascade.

Red brown in colour with lasting head. Rye comes through well in aroma and flavour. Also some yeast and fruity hops. Well balanced and easy to drink.

Nice copper color with a tan head. For my opinion it’s smells better, grassy and hoppy, than it tastes, some malt, citrus. Good beer, but not exceptional.

(bottle) slightly opalescent copper-amber colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of caramel, white grapes and prickly pear, with a light hint of sugar icing, some fudge and passion fruit. flavour is mostly roasted malts and toffee, slightly astringent, with some light notes of honeymelon and herbal hops in the light roasted-bitter finish. medium- to heavy-bodied with average carbonation.

Perfect clear ruby color with thin white foam head. The smell is very thin. The taste is round and slightly roasted. Nice hoppy bitterness with a very thin tartness in the throat. A light sweet body balances the beer out. The aftertaste is a little too dry and rather thin. This is a beautiful red ale. Not my favorite style, but thjs is nevertheless an excellent representative.

330 ml bottle. BB 13/Set/15. From CH-303. Grazie Asbjørn!
Cloudy mid-brown colour with a tiny off-white head. Piney and resiny hops, mild bitterness, caramel malt and a lot of sweetness in the aroma. The flavour is piney, resiny and berry hops, mild bitterness, mild tartness and caramel malt. Not that sweet. Decent.

Bottle @ home. Clear amber red color, huge off-white to beige head that lasts for a long time and leaves fair lacing. Aroma is malts, a hint of caramel, lightly fruity hops, a slight hint of citrus or sour, I’m not sure. Taste malts, again a hint of caramel, citrus hints and citrus bitter. Average body, soft carbonation. Drinkable for sure, but somehow not really pleasing.
