It’s an IPA, India Pale Ale, amber colored and with a strong hoppy aroma.

A beer that’s been made for thirsty people, to be drank without too much thinking, to be enjoyed while strolling down the streets on warm evenings.

In brewing Hobo we used a big amount of rye (29 %) and 10 % wheat, plus five different kinds of malted barley. We decided to use hops from America and New Zealand: we used Nelson Sauvin during FWH and in whirlpooling, while in the next two additions we used Amarillo and Cascade.

Grifo. Vaso Shaker. On-tap. Shaker glass @ Freiburg (Barcelona). Amber color, chill haze appearance. Headed by yellowish, creamy & lasting crown. Lacing rings & spots are left. Candy, caramel & mild toasted malt aromas, hints of ripe apple. Sharp resinous bitterness at first sip based on sticky toasted malt backbone. Medium to full body. Soft carbonation. Unctuous & Oily texture. Spicy & driedpalate. Citrics & resins in the middle linger into a heavy & long bitter finish. Refreshing & easy drinkable.

Draught @ Le Resistencia, Barcelona. Pours a dark amber colour with a white head. Aroma of strong fresh grass, gooseberry bush and birch leaves. Flavour of fresh floral hops, herbs, juicy exotic fruitiness, weed, mild caramel and pale malts. Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel and very soft carbonation. Finishes mildly sweet, very bitter, floral and strong on juicy exotic fruitiness. Excellent.

33cl bottle, the Crown Royal of Hobo beers? Hell yes. BB 12/03/2014.

18-JUL-2013, bottle @appartment in Barcelona, from La Cerveteca. Hazy amber/orange with lasting, creamy, lacing head. Fruity hoppy aroma. Taste the same. Very malty as well with bread and caramel. Could have Nelson Sauvin...? Fruity and coco. Medium carbonation and body but turns a little watery. Finish a little hoppy bitter. Nice fruity IPA.
