2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This was hardly an IPA at all, how many flavours is it possible to pick out of this? Caramel is the strongest. Amber ale is more like it. Fine, but not worth the price. I could see this doing well in 2012 Mississauga or 1981 back sticks of BC, but 2012 Vancouver Island? That’s like exporting English wine to Burgundy.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at Churchkey. Deep copper pour with a small frothy head, good lacing. Flavor is very very malt forward, but still really nice notes of melon from the Nelson Sauvin, good citric Amarillo/Cascade influence, and a fairly dry finish. Nice stuff.

A dark copper amber ale with a thin brown head. In aroma, a sweet malt with herbaceous hops, treacle, nice. In mouth, a smooth biscuit malt with grassy British hops, grainy, metallic notes. Bottle at Mondial 2012, June 9 2012.

Deep reddish amber pour thin off white head ... aroma of caramel malts, faded citrusy hops lightly earthy as well .... taste is of caramel malts, earthy hops, light bitter citrusy hops and a dry light bitterness in the finish .... abv hidden well ... was a sessionable beer, but it had no attitude at all really

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Beer #15 at the Mondial de la Bière 2012 (June 9), bottle. Honey nut, medium head. Aroma of hops green, a little citrus. Hoppy taste very green, not much else, aftertaste of bitter herbs. Too green for me!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
So the tiny bottle says IPA, but Ratebeer says amber ale. Hmmmm... This pours a red-orange with aggressive carbonation requiring a great deal of patience to get it into the glass. Nice aroma of lychees and crushed grass. Lively mouthfeel with nice caramel malt sweetness, tropical fruit aromatics, and a long bitter finish. Vegetal and piney nuances. More IPA than amber, but wow is this thing ever gassy.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma: citrus, crisp hop notes, grainy grassy follow. Hoppy but lacking some depth. 6+
Appearance: slight haze on amber with medium tanned head. Good lace.
Palate / Taste: medium bodied. Tart frontal feel, leafy, bit rough bitterness. Chewy, chalky feel. Good front, finish was just ok.
