It’s an IPA, India Pale Ale, amber colored and with a strong hoppy aroma.

A beer that’s been made for thirsty people, to be drank without too much thinking, to be enjoyed while strolling down the streets on warm evenings.

In brewing Hobo we used a big amount of rye (29 %) and 10 % wheat, plus five different kinds of malted barley. We decided to use hops from America and New Zealand: we used Nelson Sauvin during FWH and in whirlpooling, while in the next two additions we used Amarillo and Cascade.

Tried this beer in the bottle. Aroma: citrus, floral hops. Taste light citrus and not quite there hop notes; not balanced to well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 0.33l from Drinks Of The World Geneva, Switzerland. 06.05.2016. Pour it hazy amber color with small white head. Aroma caramel, some orange o the back. Taste lots of caramel malt, rusty feel, continues with spoiled hops unfornately. Maybe not my favorite kind of mix. Average carbonation, medium body, bitter finish.

Bottle from Drinks of the World. Not sure what went wrong with this one, but it doesn’t taste like an ale whatsoever. Probably some infection. No hops present at all, just undefined bitterness and some malts. Blergh.

Flat Aroma: roasty malts and floral hops. Malt is slightly heavier than the Hop. Sweet. Nice Red and Brown Color with a white head. Easy to drink, not too heavy. Nice Bitterness. I Liked it!

couleur ambrée foncée; petite mousse blanche; arômes et goût maltés (trop pour une IPA), un peu de résine; bière un peu trop douce avec finale légèrement amère; ce n’est pas une IPA pour moi

Having arrived in Switzerland, I’m happy to find a vibrant local brewing scene. This IPA is heavier on the malt than the hops, and yet the palate is slightly thin. The best way to sum up the aroma is a pleasant mix of sweet and sour, with lemon, honey, peach and caramel. On tasting, the hops are quite bitter without a lot of complex flavours. Nevertheless, it’s a refreshing, fairly easy drinking IPA.
