COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kurt, for us, means going back to our roots. Served in cans and in kegs, it’s a Pale Ale made to be drank in big amounts.

Hoping that Kurt will be the perfect "Gatewat Beer" for those who have only ever drunk industrial lager, we also want it to be appreciated for beer lovers on sunny summer days.

Kurt is brewed with Maris Otter malt and hops from the New World (Riwaka e Motueka). We use untreated water for brewing, which makes its unique mineral properties enhance the grassy notes of the hops.

Draught @ BBF 2014. Hazy pale yellow beer, small white head. Very citric but really mild tasting beer for an APA. Light bodied and a bit watery as well.

Tasted at Barcelona Beer Festival 2014 - Color: clear blond beer with small carbonation and small white foam. Smell: malty and hoppy nose as good equilibrium. Taste: malt domination with small hoppy taste. Good balance, really drinkable.

330 ml can from Portale Birra, served in a nonic pint glass. Unfortunately no BB date. Very pale yellow, quite hazy, with an average, rocky white head. On the nose grassy but mild hoppy notes, pale malts, slightly musty, a hint of tropical fruits and green melon. Almost wheaty in the mouth, moderately bitter and crisp, certainly thirst quenching. Slightly citrusy aftertaste. Average carbonation, light body -almost watery- and creamy texture. Not much going on, but I can see how it can be considered a good gateway beer. Decent.

(33 cl can from Casa Evaristo; No visible BBD) Pours a cloudy golden withnmedium, offwhite head. Some lace but the head dissipates into surface film. Decent regeneration though. Aroma is wheaty with perhaps a little herbal hop character but not the great aromas one would expect from a quartet of modern, NZ hops. Perhaps the lack of a BBd has something to do with this? Watery texture, light to medium body, medium carbonation and a slightly ascerbic finish. Flavour is slightly herbal and quite citrusy.

Absolutbeerginer (21) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JAN 18, 2014
Couleur jaune or-miel, trouble.

Aroma: some hops, not very strong. Appearance: pale gold, hazy, small thin head. Taste: light sweet. Palate: light carbonation, light bitterness. Overall: not a terribly remarkable APA - not bad, but not something you will remember nor miss. Can from Drinks of the World Zurich HB, Switzerland.
