Aroma sour tartness with spices accented behind. Interesting approach.
Appearance pours as hazed brown with large foamy cap. Some lace is shown.
Flavor and Palate : Cinnamon, sour cherry, mild spice. Mild carbonation. Sweet with mild tone. Gentle alcohol warmth behind. Polite and different than most.

Sorprendentemente beverina per il grado alcolico e per la caratura stagionale da "winter warmer"; anzi al naso è più fresca che altro.

Bottle in Genoa, purchased from a small curio shop in the Genoa old town. Hazy amber beer, big frothy cream coloured head. Frothy palate, slightly soft. Very sweet malt with caramel and toffee and lacto. Mild hops provide dried fruit flavours and mild bitterness. Dry finish with a minerally bitter aftertaste. Not bad at all.

Birra che di invernale ha gli ingredienti della speziatura e il grado alcolico. al colore però è ramata chiara, fresca al naso, morbida in bocca, la speziatura, zenzero, cannella e ginepro, non prevale, anzi si amalgama bene conuna luppolatura sorprendentemente generosa, bevuta sia alla spina che in bottiglia, e in entrambi i casi è una birra piacevole da bere.

Bottled (thanks Bov!). Amber colour, small slightly off-white head. Aroma is banana, mild spices, toffee and some ripe fruits. Flavour is banana, yeast, toffee, sweet ripe fruits and mild berries. Nicely spicy, caramelly and fruity bitter aftertaste.

Bottled, thanks Bov! Clear brownish amber, rich firm head. Aroma of pear and caramel. Sweet and full bodied with well rounded mouthfeel. Caramel and brandy, solidly malty notes of wood and milk chocolate. Warming finish with slight white pepper and some bitterness.

330ml brown bottle. Last bottle from the Craft Beer Advent Calendar 2012. Dark orangey pour, hazy, thin white head. Nose is a little lemony, caramel hints, mild fruity notes. Taste has grains, wheat, caramel, touch of cherry-like fruit. Slight tang at the end, citrusy, bit of grass. Lighter body than expected for a 8+ percent brew, carbonation is light. Doesn’t exactly scream American strong ale to me, but I ended up enjoying this.

ABV: 8.34%. Clear medium to dark amber orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, US hops, moderate yeasty, candy, light alcohol. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120316]
