COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Two Penny is brewed with traditional roasted British malts and American hops (Chinook, AMarillo, Willamette). A double boiling, together with a first wort hopping, give it a rough, scruffy character that perfectly suits our modern beer-loving dockworkers.

In short: A typical roasted stout/porter of above average quality. Far from original, but very good
How: From a bottle at Mondial De La Bière 2012
The look: Black body topped by a medium tan head
In long: Nose is roasted, burnt waffles, some roasted coffee beans, roasted woof, a bit of smoke. Taste has more roasted coffee beans than the aroma, adds some black chocolate, burnt toasts, roasted wood, raisin bread, leafy hops. Medium body with appropriate medium carbonation. Roasted enough to feel dry but so roasted that it develops annoying off-flavors. Basically this is a typical roasted non-fruity porter/stout, but this one has all its flavor elements well levelled and it makes for a really nice session black beer. I sat down at my table, slowly drank this beer while typing my rating on my notebook PC, and when I was done I was still sitting at the same table, so I guess it is true that having a Bad Attitude will get you nowhere.

330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, beige to tan head. Dark malty aroma, hints of dark chocolate, cocoa, a touch of tobacco. Taste is dark malty with hints of dark chocolate, cocoa, cautious hints of liquorice. Not outstanding, but quite nice.

Aroma: coffee, dark chocolate, light alcohol notes, toasted flavours. Appearance: dark brown/black, medium creamy beige head. Taste: light sweet. Palate: full body, sweet caramel at first, making place for some bitter chocolate, average-long finish. Overall: great Imperial Porter, fantastic palate. Ontbeertaster (2306) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 6, 2014
Bottle, pours dark black, aroma was light roast, taste had a little soy sauce so it seemed like it might be a little old, but overall it was good, the stubby bottle was fun.

Pours a dark brown->black with a brownish head that fades quickly. Creamy texture with a smooth carbonation. Roasted malt, slight alcohol, hints of chocolate and a rather bitter/roasted finish. 13.03.14, after long work day, slightly too cold Edit: definitely started too cold, shows it's true potential at approximately 10-14C.

Tap @ St. Urho’s, Helsinki, Portteri- & Stoutpäivät 2014. Pours dark brown, pretty much black with a deep ruby tinge. Thick, medium-sized, latte-colored head. Aroma is surprisingly light, light roast and black currant. Taste is roast, some chocolate and vanilla. Smooth. Not as roasted as you’d expect. Fair bit of salty liquorice. Light smoke. Full flavor really. Makes one want to say sophisticated, really. Light blackcurrant in the background. Quite full with quite a bit of carbonation. 2,5dl is more than enough for one person.

Keg @ St.Urho’s portteripäivät. Near black, lasting creamy, brown head. Looks great. Roastedness, chocolate and oatmeal in aroma. Heavy stuff. Roasted malt, ash, licorice in flavor. Long roasted finish with dark chocolate. Full bodied. This should be enjoyed in small doses.
