On tap at Beer Revolution, Calgary. Sweet aroma. Dark brown colour. A decent porter.

Late.... So late. Pisser I opened this but I’m not going to let it go to waste. Almost black with a controlled pour giving a small dark tan head. Very nice soft chocolate noted along with mild roast and a healthy dose of fruit. Not a big description but everything in these is done right. The taste is pretty solid even with a vodka like alcohol flavouring. Robust yummiest with a bunch of fruit and a related sweet spice and a very hard, dry near burnt finish (and some bitterness tied in). The coffee instantly gives way to fruit which then as quickly gives way to some hard bitterness and dried deep roast. Pretty good stuff that comes at you from every angle. I dig it.

330ml brown bottle. Dark brown in colour with ruby notes. Tan head, creamy, tight bubbles, great retention and nice lace rings. Roasty and chocolatey nose, sweet dark coffee. In the mouth the beer is roasty with blackish coffee, some dark choclate and some sweeter chocolate. Late hops which carry into the aftertaste with choclate and roast. Light alcohol integrates well. Medium body with decent creaminess in the mouth. Overall a nice strong porter with some depth, easy to drink. My favourite from Bad Attitude so far.

Very dark brown, almost black. Tan head. Nose is fruit, coffee, chocolate, roasty malts, hops. Taste begins malty, roasty, chocolatey but is soon dominated by the fruity hops. Long, bitter hoppy finish with roasty notes and some alcohol warmth. Weirdly compelling off-kilter balance.

Cute bottle. Eye catching artwork but label is hard to read. Dark brown with light head. Light aroma of dark malt and a hint of cocoa. Full bodied creamy dark beer. Straight forward but very tasty dark malt. Light cocoa is there and light alcohol note held in check by malt. The only knock would be a desire for more complexity with higher ABV since you have to go slower.

A really nice porter with big bitter roasted malts and warming alcohol. The pour is a dark brown with some light peaking through. A thin beige head with streaky lacing. The nose is robust, intense roasted malts and notes of coffee with some dark chocolate notes and pungent alcohol. The flavor is lightly sweet and robust with tasty intense roasted malts and big coffee notes. Warm and bitter on the finish. A bit unbalanced, but a nice brew regardless.

330ml bottle pours a dark brown color with a small light beige head that leaves some thin spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is roasted malts and coffee. Taste is roasted malt bitterness with some chocolate malty sweetness followed up with a bit of coffee and a bit of hoppy bitterness. Body is a little thin for the style and carbonation is average. Nothing special, just a decent tasting experience.

Black color, medium sized brownish head. The aroma of roasted malt is creamy and a bit cheesy; imperfect but interesting. Good body, chocolate flavor, some roasted malt, some cardboard, medium to low bitterness, missing some ending bite.
Good, but it seems to have a stale character, not a vibrant one.
