Half-litre flip-top bottle: best before 30 Jan 2012. Poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard @ home on 5th Nov 2012. Pale golden body, bright, clean and very clear: full, deep snow white head on top, which turned into a wisp and collar after a while. Nose of grains and a hint of bread yeastiness: grassy with the grains and a whiff of biscuity/shortbread maltiness. The taste was delicate and difficult to nail down: grains again, some hop bitterness towards the finish and a crisp, tangy body feel throughout, all added up to a pleasant lunchtime beer. Can’t pretend it was full of flavours, but it did test my tasting skills as I tried to pick up on the make up of the brew. Half way down the beer I had some peppered German Salami, Tomatoes and White crusty bread with the beer and they complimented each other nicely. The review was written before my taste buds got hit by the salami by the way!

Pours an average yellow color without much head. The smell is a simple grain and grass. The taste follows the nose with perhaps a bit of corn and sweet light malt. Light in body with less than average carbonation.

50cl. Steinen bottle. Pours hazy yellow with no head. Aroma malts, bread. Taste sweet, some dark bitters. Mouthfeel thin, bit dry. Ok beer.

Test vom 23.12.2006, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 9,9,9,6,-,8 - 8,10

After the beer was served in the glass there was found a lasting quantity wall adhesive white foam collar which was fine and even of structure. The beer also contained no carbonic acid in the glass. The beer has a thick pale color and a sweet taste. The after tast of the beer is hoppy bitter with a citrus touch. This beer smells fruity.

Bottle (courtesy of Koelschtrinker - thanks. Labelled Graf Godfried Eifeler Burgbier - I think this is a rename of the Landbier but can’t find any other information about it and it doesn’t have a bar code on it). Sweet lightly flowery barley malt aroma - pleasant. Hazy pale yellow color with moderate head. Mildly sweet grainy malt and mildly bitter grass hops. Very pleasant beer.
