Das Bier ist nur leicht malzig und eindeutig zu lasch. Ein hopfiger Ton ist immerhin durchgehend präsent. Ebenso wie der Mittelteil erscheint auch der leicht malzig und bittere Nachgeschmack wässrig. Test vom 23.12.2006, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 11,9,9,10,-,10 - 9,78

Bottle. It’s a slightly hazy, brown beer with a small, off-white head. Lightly roasted nose, coffeeish, with some dried fruits and mocca chocolate. Sweet, chocolatey flavor, mocca-ish, with a little roasted malts and dried fruits. Medium to full body, dry and with a pleasant carbonation. Roasted dry finish with some roasted bitterness. The bottle I had was 17 months past BB-date and had some oxidation, but that just added a nice twist to the beer. The age might have made it better as well. (090521)

50 cL bottle, courtesy of fonefan. Pours clear and golden deep orange to amber with a fully gone head. Mild fruity hops aroma and roasted malt. Sweet malty, light liqourice like note and mild fruity. Quite hoppy for a schwarzbier. Smooth malty finish again with a lasting and refreshing hoppy note.
