Lubiere (9877) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 12, 2014
A pale blonde cider with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet apple juice with light bourbon notes, caramel, nice. In mouth a tart apple taste with light woody character, dry and crisp. Bottle at Coney Island on tap.

The wood here is huge, loaded with warm bourbon. Toasted barrel. Bourbon dominates the gentle apple notes. There’s a bit of tartness that comes through, with some sweet apple notes, but then it’s back to a huge hit of barrel. Warm bourbon moves to a touch of acid on the finish.

Bottle at Dadsgiving, cheers to (Jay is my guess?), 24/11/13. Clear insipid light yellow with little in the way of a head. Nose is dank apple skins, straw, woody. Taste comprises light bourbon, apple pulp, apple skin. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry closure. Decent.

blipp (6050) - Newark, New Jersey, USA - NOV 28, 2013
Bottle. Pours light and clear. Moderate bourbon presence, medium apple sweetness, and faint spicy notes. Good restraint here; it could be very much overdone, but it’s not. Good stuff.

Bottle shared with my wife. Pours a lightly hazed gold with a thin white head. Big bourbon on the nose, a bit of alcohol over soft oxidized old apple aromas. Big bourbon right away, lots of tart wood. A bit heavy handed on the barrel, but otherwise tasty enough.
