330ml Bottle - Golden with a white head. Ginger, lemon and some hints of coriander in the aroma. Zesty, spicy and refreshing taste with ginger, lemon and honey detected. Nice, enjoyable and would go down a treat during the summer.

Sweet honey, lemon, banana and grain punctuate the aroma. High carbonation leads to a ditzy and spritzy refreshing mouth-feel. Consistency of a lager. Taste dangles on the precipice of dangerously sweet. Crisp and slightly dry with a little spice in the finish. Nice wit/saison mash up. Like it.

slight cloudy orange or straw colour. unique aroma of banana and tropical fruit and a little funk. Rich, acetic flavour showing the malt character and with a funky yeast twang on the end. Interesting and engaging. Really takes you out to the fields.

Clear, golden with thin white, quickly diminishing white head. Sweet lightly spiced, hoppy, yeasty, light sour finish. Very thin oily texture, low carbonation. Ok, hoped for a bit more.

Bottle from Cornelius. Slightly muddy yellow. Thin white head. Spicy ginger and honey on the nose. Lemon and honey with some vegetal flavours. Not hugely carbonated but good bubbles. It disappeared!

Keg, Barley Mow, Bristol, 19/01/14. Headless mid-clouded gold. Nose banana esters; yeast, fruit pastimes (pastilles!) and herb . Low to flat condition; juicy botanical yeast, parsley and banana impressions; lemon, the faint frangipani of booze. Very good- if a little dead. Bright and yeasty. Happy accident: I wanted a Baby Faced Assassin.

Bottle from unknown supplier. Poured hazy golden with a thin white head. Aroma of yeast, pineapple and juicy hops. Peppery hop flavours with some cereal and bready malt. Finish is soft fruit, straw and esters. Very good English saison.

Bottle from Beerhive AROMA: herbs (cloves? ginger), dough, grass, APPEARANCE: pale, hazy, minimal head, white foam, TASTE: light sweetness, lightly sour, medium bitterness, PALATE: medium body, oily feel, soft carbonation, long finish, OVERALL: fall between a wheat beer and a saison, very refreshing, not as sour as most saisons, interesting herbs, but a bit too subtle in its aromas to make it into 4s.
