slight cloudy orange or straw colour. unique aroma of banana and tropical fruit and a little funk. Rich, acetic flavour showing the malt character and with a funky yeast twang on the end. Interesting and engaging. Really takes you out to the fields.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear, golden with thin white, quickly diminishing white head. Sweet lightly spiced, hoppy, yeasty, light sour finish. Very thin oily texture, low carbonation. Ok, hoped for a bit more.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Keg, Barley Mow, Bristol, 19/01/14. Headless mid-clouded gold. Nose banana esters; yeast, fruit pastimes (pastilles!) and herb . Low to flat condition; juicy botanical yeast, parsley and banana impressions; lemon, the faint frangipani of booze. Very good- if a little dead. Bright and yeasty.
Happy accident: I wanted a Baby Faced Assassin.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Beerhive
AROMA: herbs (cloves? ginger), dough, grass,
APPEARANCE: pale, hazy, minimal head, white foam,
TASTE: light sweetness, lightly sour, medium bitterness,
PALATE: medium body, oily feel, soft carbonation, long finish,
OVERALL: fall between a wheat beer and a saison, very refreshing, not as sour as most saisons, interesting herbs, but a bit too subtle in its aromas to make it into 4s.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml bottle from The Beerhive.
Thin white head, a little lacing. Body is cloudy, muddy yellowy brown. Sweet nose of honey, ginger and lemon. Flavour is honey and lemon followed by biscuit, earthy finish. A little syrup lingers. Mouthfeel is deceivingly thin at first then fills out with a bit chewiness. Light carbonation. Really refreshing and drinkable.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy pale golden body with a thin white head. Average carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma of lemon, ginger, grain and a hint of lavender. Flavour is very sweet for a Saison - honey and lemon flavoured Strepsils, Digestive biscuits and apricot. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft carbonation. I much prefer sharp, spicy, yeasty Saisons - unfortunately, this tastes a bit flabby and sweet. This bottle was 6.0% ABV.
