Clear medium brown color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, malty. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20101016]

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Copper coloured, creamy head. Starts malty, modest sweet, also spicy-fruity. Notes of caramell and liquorice. Finish soft, notes of plum. Well balanced and very drinkable. Good beer!

Bottle (Dank an Jonas !): A bit hazy, amber coloured, mid-sized beige head, quite quickly collapsing; light dark-malty nose with faint traces of nutmeg in the background; light to moderate sweetish flavour, soft MF; light caramelly-malty finish with a very shy bitterness in the very end. Not bad, but a bit monotonous.........

(bottle) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a short foamy white layer. Sweet and slightly dusty toasty and (chest-)nutty malt aroma with light notes of caramel and vague shades of dark fruits. Moderately sweet flavour, quite light bodied with an almost crispy mouthfeel. Toast-malty base with nutty and faint caramelly side effects; quite dry and malt-accented sweet-bitter finish with a nutty aftertaste. Decent Dunkel (07.07.08).
