Launched by Kid Rock.

Itís born out of of bushels of American barley and hops harvested straight from the heartland. Itís crafted with care in place where Detroitís factories mark one horizon and wild forests mark the next. This beerís built with Michigan pride. Pry one open and youíll know: thereís trouble brewing. This is pure American Badass. americanbadassbeer.com

Bomber. Pours a very light straw color with a fizzy white head that quickly dissapates. Heavy corn aroma. Surprisingly smooth tasting ,without the cheap macro beer bite. Very thin and watered down with just a hint of grain and corn in the finish. Refreshing on a hot and humid Summer night, but way overpriced for what you get.

poured a clear yellow with no head. aroma not much going on here got some malt and yeast. flavor corn, malt, citrus. the only thing this has above the bud and miler is that it has a fuller mouth feel. Kid should be ashamed of himself for being associated with this beer. But I guess if you are trying to appeal to the bud crowd this might go over big with them

Bottle shared by Sean, thanks! Poured one of the palest clearest beers I have ever seen. There was a slight gold tinge. The head was a large bubbly white one that dissipated quickly to the edges. Aroma was full of sweet corn with perhaps a bit of sweet grain as well. Flavor had corn but there was a bit more with grass and sweet grain notes adding more. It ended up being pretty drinkable.

Bomber: Aroma a slightly corny and ever so light grassy hop aroma, as the beer settles you can smell more of the hops with a grainy very light malt backing. Appearance is clear golden with a white head. Taste is rather clean and crisp, some light and nice hop backing to this for a Pale lager. Palate is clean and crisp on the tongue with the slightest hint of bitterness in the aftertaste. Overall, Average stuff, nothing horrible, this would be a good lawnmower beer. Cheers!

Bottle: The aroma is very light with corn and hints of apple. It pours an incredibly light yellow...probably the lightest beer Iíve ever seen. It has a minimal white head that quickly fades to nothing and ends up looking still. The flavor consists of corn. It finishes lightly sweet with hints of apple. Light bodied with lightly fizzy carbonation. I havenít had a beer that looks worse...the only "good" thing I can say is that Iíve had beers that taste worse...no taste is better than bad taste.

On tap at MBC Lansing. My curiosity overcame me and ordered this beer with lunch. The body is a very light, clear straw color topped by a thin near-white head. Light aroma, with some grain, slight metallic notes, and hints of grassy hops. Light, easy-drinking body with bread and touches of lemon, sweet with no unpleasant off-flavors or cloying adjuncts. Quite plain, as expected, but still a lot more pleasant than macroswill.

Iíve had this a few times only on draft at Comerica during the Kid Rock show, at Cheliís, the Clarkston Union and the Machine Shop in Flint. Everything but the Machine Shop has been consistent (I think it was the wrong keg at the Machine Shop, but it couldíve been an early test batch). The beer...typical lager color (no head) and tastes light with a little bit of a hop flavor that gives it more taste than the typical domestic lager. There is no aftertaste so it succeeds as a good refreshing tailgating beer thatís an easy drinker. Iíd definitely buy it as a daily drinker. I think the Kid has achieved what he set out to accomplish.

Draft sample at MBGF Summer09. Poured clear pale color with an average frothy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Medium grainy and small grass hop aroma. Light to medium body with a thin texture and lively carbonation. Light grainy sweet flavor with a light sweet finish of short to moderate duration. Below average brew that may be defined by its name, without the ass.

MiBG Summer Fest 2009: The last beer I rated over the two days of the fest but what the heck, I will enter it now. Pale golden hue with lots of carbonation but not much head retention. The aroma has notes of corn and wet grains, hint of grassy hops and pear esters, some phenols. The taste is twangy grain alcohol with a bit of hop bitterness but short finish makes that go away quickly. Noticeable veggie aftertaste. The mouth feel is the best part of the brew, crisp and lively, easy to drink which I think is the point. Well it has a HINT OF DRINKABLITY right from the start... look for it where they sell Celis White, for it is what it is.
