It’s born out of of bushels of American barley and hops harvested straight from the heartland. It’s crafted with care in place where Detroit’s factories mark one horizon and wild forests mark the next. This beer’s built with Michigan pride. bottle-Thanks jtclockwork for sharing-pours a foamy dissipating white head and clear/straw color. Aroma corn/grain. Taste is water, some corn/grain, non offensive, non-entity.

Draft sample at MBGF Summer09. Poured clear pale color with an average frothy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Medium grainy and small grass hop aroma. Light to medium body with a thin texture and lively carbonation. Light grainy sweet flavor with a light sweet finish of short to moderate duration. Below average brew that may be defined by its name, without the ass.

Poured a clear yellow (barely any color) with a large sized white head. Aromas of stale grains and corn. Tastes of the same...more corn than grains. Only thing Badass about this beer is the name.

Bottle. Barley malt and hay aroma. Pale yellow color with large head. Lightly sweet barley malt and hay flavor. Drinkable - way better than Buffett’s beer.

MiBG Summer Fest 2009: The last beer I rated over the two days of the fest but what the heck, I will enter it now. Pale golden hue with lots of carbonation but not much head retention. The aroma has notes of corn and wet grains, hint of grassy hops and pear esters, some phenols. The taste is twangy grain alcohol with a bit of hop bitterness but short finish makes that go away quickly. Noticeable veggie aftertaste. The mouth feel is the best part of the brew, crisp and lively, easy to drink which I think is the point. Well it has a HINT OF DRINKABLITY right from the start... look for it where they sell Celis White, for it is what it is.

Bottle of said liquid pours out pale clear gold with white head. The aroma offers up fresh graininess, so there’s that, crusty nut husks and sugar malt sweetened floral hops. The taste is terrible with slick thin sugary sweetness, corn, a sense of skunk, floral hops and an all too timid level of spicy hops. ‘nuff said.

Bottle from a generous trader. Pours pale yellow. Fizzy white head. Almost clear. Nose of corn, grain and one or two hops - very faint. Taste is cold filtered water and sweet corn. Inoffensive in the same manner that water is inoffensive.

Bottle shared by Sean, thanks! Poured one of the palest clearest beers I have ever seen. There was a slight gold tinge. The head was a large bubbly white one that dissipated quickly to the edges. Aroma was full of sweet corn with perhaps a bit of sweet grain as well. Flavor had corn but there was a bit more with grass and sweet grain notes adding more. It ended up being pretty drinkable.

bottle... clear thin straw, ugly, but a nice retentive head... the aroma is terrible, literally smells like ass, corn... taste is even worse, corn watery, a bad malt liquor... pass

Pailhead (3435) - Plymouth, Michigan, USA - AUG 7, 2010
Bottle: The aroma is very light with corn and hints of apple. It pours an incredibly light yellow...probably the lightest beer I’ve ever seen. It has a minimal white head that quickly fades to nothing and ends up looking still. The flavor consists of corn. It finishes lightly sweet with hints of apple. Light bodied with lightly fizzy carbonation. I haven’t had a beer that looks worse...the only "good" thing I can say is that I’ve had beers that taste worse...no taste is better than bad taste.
